Trump Toured Palmetto State Armory, Bought a Glock, and Then Talked About Overturning the Pistol Brace Rule

Source.

Trump took a tour of Palmetto State Armory – yes, the company that wants to arm AS MANY AMERICANS AS POSSIBLE WITH AS MANY ARs and AKs AS POSSIBLE.

And apparently, Trump found himself a new Glock.

Some people are reporting that he bought the hand cannon (not sure if it was a G19 or what – someone said it was a .45, which is boss – but I love that custom threaded barrel and finish).

More important than the photo op was this clip where Trump promised to overturn the ATF pistol brace rule that has made tens of millions of Americans felons …

Did he really do all of that?  Must be some sort of superman or something.  Honestly, the sycophants and worshipers drive me crazy.

No, he didn’t purchase a gun that day.

Suppose he did talk about the pistol brace rule.  So what?  He set the whole thing up with his precedent of the bump stock ban.  Did he talk about canceling that project?  Apparently not.  No more than he talked about how he was wrong to shut the country down and march Fauci in front of the public for a year over the flu.

“I never got the credit I deserve on Covid,” said Trump, patting himself on the back for his “tremendous response” that saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

The commenters over Reddit/Firearms are brutal.  He lost many gun owners over the bump stock ban.  I predict this isn’t a hurdle he can overcome.

Color me unimpressed with all of this.  Silly season has begun in earnest.

Isn’t Trump under indictment for … whatever they’re charging him with? And don’t those carry a possible sentence of up to 10 years in federal prison?

Ergo, unless and until he’s acquitted or those charges are dropped or dismissed, isn’t Trump a “prohibited person” under federal law? He shouldn’t be able to buy a Glock right now, and probably good he didn’t really try!

You’d think his supporters would see right through that charade, but far too many are blinded by hero worship.

(Alternatively, if he did try, I wouldn’t put it past Biden’s/Garland’s DoJ to give him a pass on the NICS check just so they can come back later and arrest him for being a “prohibited person” in possession of a firearm. Such a d*ck move wouldn’t surprise me one bit, not from this administration.)

Didn’t know DJT was a SC resident .

Besides the outstanding indictments, to buy a handgun in SC, he’d have to be a SC resident to purchase a handgun there.

    Just sayin’

People support Trump at this point for three reasons IMHO.

    1. They know he is being charged with crimes simply because he is running against the Obama proxy Joe Biden and he is polling well. This is how the U.S. operates now after the takeover.

    2. Most sane people know that the 2020 election was stolen.

    3. More importantly many people mistakenly view him as a savior for some reason. Trump could not save the country if he wanted to. No one is coming to save us.

I’ve talked with several gun owners and a few dealers who told me that if Donnie gets reelected and declares the 2nd Amendment null and void, they will comply, because Donald Trump is our Savior.
I reluctantly voted for him in 2016, for professional reasons I voted for Biden in 2020, but that was the last election I voted in. Even at the local level, elections are a joke, and I’ve told a few Cincinnati area politicians that every single one of them are at best corrupt.
The Z-Man often discusses why voting is a fool’s game, and even the Plague Nun is convinced of this.

If it is between Biden and Trump on the ticket, is it better to not vote at all and risk getting Biden re-elected without any action from you ? Because I know of no other candidate who has a chance in winning the office. If you of someone who does, please let us know.

There are plenty of disenchanted Biden voters. People who wanted Trump out of office, but not at the expense of watching an mentally incapacitated person with their finger on the nuclear ‘football’. I doubt if they will vote Trump, but voting for Biden twice – not going to happen. In order for Biden to win a 2nd time, the steal will have to be much more stronger and will be much harder to get done.

I already know how Biden feels on the 2nd Amendment – he demonstrates that every day. If you choose to just let it ride and let others choose the POTUS, that is on you. And your kids and grand kids.

DJT is far from perfect but in my opinion, he is a far better person than Biden. Better for our country too. Compare four years of Biden vs. four years of Trump and ask which term was better for America.

Yes, he has a cult following, but what are you hoping for as a candidate to turn this country around? It seems to me you’re waiting for a similar figure as pure as the driven snow. Ain’t gonna happen.
Politicians by their very nature are incompetent narcissists, so really the question every election should be who’s the least offensive or who will do the least damage over the next four years.

The GOP candidates are a collection of neocons, stupid ones at that, with the possible exception of the Indian guy. None of it matters anyway. The election for president is now truly “fortified.”

The electronic results in the swing states are known right away on election night. The dems then determine how many dem votes they need to generate and/or how many republican votes they need to subtract to make their numbers jibe. The dems have the blank ballots from China. The best part of the scam is that in the swing states they are not held to any time limits.

So, they can take as long as they like to get rid of republican votes and manufacture the dem votes. This can take days or even weeks. This all takes place while the republicans look on with their Gomer Pile expressions.

Just pointing out that the Indian guy seems a bit more intelligent than the rest. I would certainly not want the “Indian” as a president.

The most bazar part of the debates was when he and Nimarata were arguing about foreign aid. At one point the two Indians were discussing how much the U.S. taxpayers should be required to send to Israel.

Agreed, although the Biden DoJ’s clear desire to “F*ck due process, just take the guns.” isn’t any better.

I don’t like either of them. I’d vote Trump over Biden as the lesser of two evils, but wouldn’t it be nice to occasionally get to vote positively instead of negatively — i.e. vote FOR a good candidate rather than AGAINST the worse of two bad candidates?

@george 1: The electronic results in the swing states are known right away on election night. […] The best part of the scam is that in the swing states they are not held to any time limits.

That has always bugged me as well. The voting machines are electronic and Internet-connected, so they should be reporting back to a server somewhere. “Precincts are beginning to report…” is a meaningless line in that circumstance; in the time it takes to say it once, the entire state’s results should have been counted, verified, tabulated, parsed into easily-readable charts and graphs, and made available to everyone. (Even if the voting machines are not Internet-connected, it should take minimal time to pull the results from each machine and forward it to be counted. Overnight tabulation should not be a thing.)

It should be like the episode of Futurama where they hold the election for President of Earth. The news reporter lady’s line is, “And now robot voting has started … aaand the robot vote is in.”

Thus, in my opinion, unless they’re actually using paper ballots, any overnight delays in reporting are a sign of shenanigans. The only reason to delay reporting is to give troublemakers time to fudge the numbers.

    @Archer,

I have advocated nothing in the post about for whom people should vote – just that Trump is as much of a putz as everyone else, including the Indian guy.

Also, the thing that bothered me on the last election night and which convinced me the whole thing was rigged, was the fact that I saw vote totals being reported as non-integer values. Perhaps they made a mistake and showed the tallies straight from the machines, but there is no way on earth a vote tally can be anything other than an integer value. Yet I saw it being reported as a real number in multiple state, most of all Georgia.
