Gun Sales Are Up In Virginia

BY Herschel Smith
7 months, 3 weeks ago

News from Virginia.

As a symbolic opposition to the bills, more than 100 Virginia localities have become Second Amendment sanctuaries.

Meanwhile, gun sales have shot up 35 to 45 percent at one gun store in Abingdon.

Employee Josh Petry said Christmas is usually a busy time of year, but he has noticed extra concern among some customers.

“I think people are a little scared and nervous of what the governor is proposing and some of the legislation that’s already been filed early,” said Petry.

“The new proposed gun laws have really awakened a lot of people who didn’t really play attention to politics before,” Blevins added.

“Symbolic opposition.”

So here’s a question for the controllers.  If this “opposition” is merely symbolic, and if they plan on turning their guns in to governor Ralph “Kill the babies give me all your guns” Northam, why would they be spending their hard-earned money on buying more guns?

Ponder that.

I told you when speaking to The Washington Post editorial board.  “It isn’t clear what sort of mental gymnastics would make the editorial board believe that folks in Abingdon, Damascus, or Franklin County would comply with any new firearms laws.”

Because I know the folks around Abingdon and Damascus, and the controllers don’t.

The alien overlords of Richmond believe they can trash the 2nd, 5th, 14th amendments without consequences. Laws that violate the Constitution of Virginia and the US are treason and those who would pass such laws are traitors and threats to our freedoms. Let them force the issue, sane people should resort to the courts to stop them and defy their edicts passed from some lofty ivy tower.

But if they attempt retribution, harassment, or in any way infringe on America’s god given rights let them feel the full wrath of the American people. Our forefathers knew how to respond to the despots heel in 1775. We should do no less as men. We should not shrink from the task at hand. Let the metrosexuals, baby killers and black face wearers instruct their lemmings what is expected of them. We do not expect nor ask for their aid, rather when the conflict comes if they do not voluntarily defy these tyrants, then they shall be treated as their acolytes.

Prepare and resist. Freedoms are not something to be negotiated away or handed over to those that would destroy them and in their place build gulags.

Sorry– Door to door confiscations is not how it’s going to go down.

Door to door confiscations will be for the last 3% of holdouts after everything else, less obvious, less confrontational, less sensational is done.

The Powers That Be are not stupid (evil, probably, but stupid, no). Since they are not stupid, and can foresee the difficulties with house-to-house searches, they will use other methods.

Government has been involved in a massive data gathering effort in recent years. These records, when combined with all of the other data and methods that the Business Intelligence community has developed over the years, would create a database of gun owners with a pretty high reliability in my estimation. Even without the 4473s (reports to the gove from licensed firearm dealers), combining credit card information (remember when you bought those M1 Garand bandoleers with your MasterCard a couple of years ago?), the intact database of background checks, explicit firearm owner databases (as in Illinois), State Police concealed carry information and other data stores that exist, a comprehensive set of firearm owners could be put together.
Here is the key point. > It does not have to be perfect!  It doesn’t even have to be that close. Why? bc they will make it your responsibility to prove that you don’t have any firearms, not the other way around. Just like the IRS says you owe then x dollars & you have to prove otherwise.

Constitution, you say? Ha! Don’t make me laugh.

Now that the government has this information, what should they do? Firstly, the demonization of gun owners will continue. Unabated. It will intensify and become part of our daily lives. Guns are bad. Gun owners are sick. Mentally ill. Crime is their fault. They endanger all of us. Continuous, methodical, overwhelming messaging from all corners of the media.

The actual “confiscations” will begin pleasantly enough. Guns (or some overwhelming subset of guns) will be made illegal (whether by actual congressional bill or executive order, it doesn’t matter). ‘Take you guns to the local police station and have them checked off the list’. No questions asked. Easy. Many people will simply comply.

A letter in the mail asks nicely for you turn in the Ruger SP101 you bought on X date at Y gun store in Z city. Ruger sent it back after a repair to this address in 2008…yada yada yada. More compliance. When the initial turn in period ends, penalties will begin. More friendly letters in the mail. Fines assessed. Jail time threatened. More compliance.

Then, an amnesty. Turn them in, no questions asked. More compliance. Then maybe a so-called ‘buy back’. Free gas cards, gift cards, cash. Who knows?

In parallel to all this, of course, are the exhortations to the public to turn in non-compliant gun owners. Turn them in for rewards. Turn them in for reduced prison sentences. Turn them in for a pat on the head. Your civic duty and all that. See, now that you are demonized in the eyes of the public, and an actual criminal in the eyes of the government, then all of governments resources can be applied to you with impunity. No one except other criminals will stand up for you. And no singular event will affect many people at once, never enough to cause more than a few to take an actual stand.

Anyway, who would you stand up to? Who would you shoot? When a law is passed making it illegal for banks to engage in any transaction with suspected gun owners, what will you do? Shoot a teller when your account is closed and your funds confiscated? Your mortgage called? How about when they assess a fine of, say, $250,000 and require employers to garnish all wages until the fine is paid. You going to shoot someone in HR for complying with the law?

What about when Child Protective Services abducts your kids right out of their public school? Your kids go to school one day, then, poof, they’re gone. You want them back – no problem – turn in your guns. Electricity turned off at your house? Yup, new law enacted. How long can any of us operate with no income, no bank accounts, while attending to an eviction and attempting to get your kids back? What will you do to get your kids back?

Remember, it will be your job to prove that you don’t have any guns or ammo. “C’mon, prove it, let us search your house, tell us who your buddies are”….you get the idea.

There are many ways that the government can make us ‘voluntarily’ give them up. The pressure will be overwhelming and, given how long they have been considering this, probably much more expeditious than I am making it sound.

In any case, the VERY LAST THING they will try will be the midnight raids. If you are one of the holdouts, then everyone and anyone will be your enemy before that occurs. There will be no one individual to strike out against. The giant, gray miasma of society will be your enemy. Ignorance, lethargy, apathy.

    How do you fight that?

Well shoot Poolside, we might as well turn in our guns now, saving the last gun and round of ammo to off ourselves.

    Or maybe not.

In New Zealand, a super cucked country, the response to the banning of semi-autos was probably more than 2-1 people just not complying. In places like New Jersey, people are simply not turning in high capacity magazines. California runs sting operations because their citizens have been crossing the border to buy naughty guns and mags, and the smart ones take basic precautions so they don’t get caught.

Sure, a significant number of people will turn in their guns, terrified of losing that cushy job and their health plan and 401k. Even if 80% of gun owners do, that still leaves tens of millions of us who won’t comply. There will be pressure from the government and corporate America but this isn’t happening in a vacuum. Thanks to our new, browner America, civil unrest and violent crime in the cities is going to be all the government handle within a few years. You aren’t as important or interesting as you think you are.

People buying semi-autos and hi-cap mags are simply going to be come criminals overnight when the legislation is passed in January. There will be no door-to-door confiscation; anyone caught with any illegal item will be charged as a felon.

In NY seven years ago I personally saw people paying $90 for USGI surplus 30-rd mags, which were previously about $9, a few days before the gun ban was enacted. A week later they were all illegal — no grandfathering.

The state government will not care that you protest against it, and they will enforce 99% of this at the wholesale and retail level. No manufacturer and no distributor and no retailer will sell illegal stuff.

Everyone will bitch, but they won’t start the boogaloo over it. The fat slobs at your gun club who are on disability for “diabeetus” and can barely walk 200 yards to paste a target aren’t going to be doing ops against the government or the cops. The government knows that they have got you by the balls, that’s why they are going to do this. They KNOW they can.

I am not gloating over this, I am very sad. But the rest of the country ignored New York when this went down in 2013. That was a mistake. People thought “New York” meant Times Square, but we’re talking about the rural western areas where Appalachia meets the Midwest and there are a LOT of guys with guns who got this crammed down their throats.

They will do this nationwide in the near future, even to Texas and Montana.

Anyone who thinks that gun-owning patriots have no hope against Communist Freak .gov front-liners, and that domestic enemies of the Constitution hold all the “trump” cards, IMHO suffer serious normalcy bias. IOW, thinking that the way things are now will be the same even after our thin veneer of civilization is torn asunder is a mistake.
When someone’s cards don’t work, bank accounts frozen, power, internet, Netflix and Amazon Prime are cut, their kids “rescued” at school, or he gets locked out of his workplace, most trad families will circle the wagons and do whatever it takes to restore normalcy—but some won’t. What if one out of twenty goes full-blown Dorner? Or one out of thirty, or even a hundred? Think about how many Dorners that will be. What if one out of every hundred decides to fight like he’s already dead? If the ATM doesn’t work for him, it might not work for anyone. Freeze his bank account, he may go full-blown Northridge, or go stealthy. Cut HIS electricity—too obvious to need iteration. Survivors may be few, and winners even fewer.
But remember the words of Greenbay Packers coach, Vince Lombardi, “Winning isn’t everything, it’s the ONLY thing.”
I’m not advocating anything, just an observer.
