The Gun Confiscation You Didn’t See Coming

BY Herschel Smith

While he makes an error at the first of the video concerning the number of gun owners (and near the last of the video as well), and while what he is proposing will happen does indeed violate God-given and constitutional rights, regardless of the notion of self incrimination, I think what he says is VERY important.

He highlights the connectedness of the world today, the ubiquitous nature of the internet-of-things, and the threat that poses.  It’s worth watching all the way through.

As always provide your thoughts in comments.

The secret of getting gun owners to surrender their guns is to brainwash them not to want them. The psychology of the big-lie is already being used to condition the general populace to regard firearms much as cigarettes and smoking are now regarded, i.e. as social evils – vices to be shunned, prohibited and ultimately outlawed. It is but a short step from such efforts to working on the psychological conditioning of gun owners themselves.

The pushback for firearm owners is to realize that such efforts are underway, and to educate others as to their actual intent. Also, to fortify ourselves against such transparent attempts to manipulate us. Staying off social media to the extent possible is also probably not a bad idea, since the social media tools are those preferred by our would-be overlords.

His figure of 9+million gun owners is likely the estimated number of gun owners who will resist with force, so his baseline argument is valid as far as it goes. The problem for the gun-grabbers is to not heat the pot too fast lest the frog figure out what’s for dinner. The slightest miscalculation and… Absolved.

    Damn, I miss Mike.

Meh. The Free Software Foundation has been warning about the underlying problem for years. They’re largely leftist, and probably anti-gun, so not the exact context, but their concerns apply to us, also. Software that is available to inspect and change at the source level, respects our rights is an absolute necessity. For everybody.

But, as Georgiaboy61 says, too many have been brainwashed to believe that there is no alternative to ios, android, MacOS, and Windows. If you run Linux on your computer, LineageOS on your phone, or prefer cars without proprietary software, you’re a weirdo crackpot.

The FSF wants to make proprietary software illegal. I’m opposed to that, and their tendency toward government solutions in general. But their culture war against non-Free software is something that gun owners should really be engaged in for exactly the reasons stated in the video.

His argument assumes that the government courts or the public in general will support blindly accepting EULA agreements. The things we all skip reading that the video maker says he reads (he doesn’t really). It could go either way but so far most people aren’t going to buy into arbitrary constantly changing terms of service end user license agreements.

His main point is fairly sound though in that the TAPS act is a serious threat combined with red flag laws. More data for the government fusion centers to predict who will rise against the gov machine.

The gov/the man is fighting back against non approved sources of cultural production and influence. The internet and video games have done more to promote firearms in American culture in the last 20 years than the NRA has in 50 and even the other good gun rights groups.

We fight back against this by keep on keeping on. Promote the ideas, the wider gun culture in the public spaces inspite of the constant harrassment, de-platforming and shaming.

Your ‘assumes’ are OFF by light years and the American people own more than 300 MILLION legal guns and the numbers go up by 4 MILLION a year.

Here’s the REAL story below and btw, I was in the US military for 30 years and the amount of people in the military who would either/both attempt to take away the 2nd Amendment or attack Americans are minuscule, notwithstanding the Fraud who pushed for perverts and leftists to join the military and since virtually all of the left despises America and its military, the number of Patriots in the military would REVOLT & MUTINY before they would ever allow themselves to be used by the commie perverted left to try and disarm Americans.
If you remember John Muhammad (the MUSLIM) who murdered many Americans from the trunk of his car, well multiply him times by about 150 million pissed off Patriots if the left tries and take our weapons.
Imagine Adam Schaffer’s, of Pelosi or any, leftist politician ordering such an unconstitutional WAR on us and they will NEVER step out of their house, no less into D.C.
Because such an order is an UNLAWFUL order under the UCMJ and any Officer giving such an order has just violated the UCMJ and is subject to arrest themselves or, there is an old standby, it’s called ‘fragging’, which WAS done in Nam and don’t ‘ass-u-me’ tnat the mi,itary will not do exactly the sa,e thing, esp SPECOPS guy’s, like Rangers, SEALS, etc.
Same with police, who the left despises and the police despise them, so the idea of either the military or the police joining in to usurp the 2nd amendment is slim, to none and if it was tried, there would be outright mutinies.
Further, in the Uber insane places that gun or even 30 round ‘magazine’ s or other weapons designated by tne left as ‘illegal’ have not only been NOT complied with but actively resisted. Examples, NY & CONN gun owners have REFUSED to comply and in Oregon, tne Police Chiefs have told the ‘Head Marxists in Charge’ tnat the will not confiscate weapons.
Now, for gun ownership, 99.99999% of whom have, will and stand ready to tell any Marxist anole legislator ‘Molon Labe’ mf’er, here’s what these urban aholes will face.

Number of guns and gun owners in USA.
Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that’s about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range from 190 million to 300 million. Removed those that skew the stats for their own purposes the best estimates are about 45% or 52 million of American households owning 260 million guns).

    Some recent estimates:

A 2011 Gallup poll estimates that 47 percent of US households own a gun.

A 2007 Small Arms Survey estimates there are 88.7 guns per 100 Americans (#1 in the world for guns per capita)
A 2010 estimate from the NRA states “Privately owned firearms in the U.S.: Approaching 300 million, including nearly 100 million handguns. The number of firearms rises over 4 million annually.”

HOW the disarming of America happens is a matter of debate. Nobody can see the future or predict what will happen. And realistically HOW they do it is irrelevant….all that IS relevant is that they DO disarm all of us. His
ideology is no more nor less likely than any of the other proposed methods. The commie left isn’t picky. If one means doesn’t work they will try another….and KEEP trying till they succeed. The left has ONE THING that gives them an advantage over the rest of us…..they are TRUE
BELIEVERS in their political goals. And they WILL NOT GIVE UP till they win. Like islam they will never quit, never go away, never coexist with any other ideology. The ONLY solution to the problem of islam and the problem of leftism (which includes ALL the ‘isms’ like communism, socialism, progressivism etc. etc. ad nauseaum) is the eradication of those ideologies. It’s US or THEM….to the death. Only most freedom loving people merely wanting to be left alone refuse to admit that reality.

Hi Captain. Thanks for your excellent blog, I’ve been a longtime reader. You’ve long since made your position clear with regards to the Rapture, I’d like to hear more about your Eschatology and your views on Scripture and Prophecy.

The video was interesting, thank you. For the commenter’s propositions that LE and Military would refuse to disarm fellow citizens, there are some ways around that which immediately spring to mind:

Foreign troops (UN). Considering how popular the ptb have made USA worldwide, guest “peacekeepers” would be…..interesting.

Own Paramilitaries and Military deployed to areas without local ties (eg Cossacks in Western Russia, West Russians in Siberia, Siberians in Kazakhstan; or Roman Legions always deployed away from home). Meanwhile, someone looks after the troop’s families back home. Be a shame if something happened….

Some stupendous calamity as destabilising element: Ebola, Cyber 9/11, Economic Meltdown, “Aliens” revealed, Post-Election Chaos, Seismic/Volcanic Calamity, Asteroid, CBRN events…..many possibilities.

    Revelation 13:16-17
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

    Grace and Peace.
