Dem Congressman Warns America: We Will Stop at Nothing Until We Confiscate Your Guns

Townhall.

Congressman Mondaire Jones (D-NY) warned law-abiding gun owners that Democrats will do everything in their power to ensure AR-15s and similar types of firearms are confiscated during a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday.

The hearing was to consider H.R. 7910, the “Protecting Our Kids Act,” which would raise the legal age to purchase “certain semiautomatic centerfire rifles or semiautomatic centerfire shotguns” from 18 to 21 with “exceptions.” The bill will also “modernize the prohibition on untraceable firearms [and] encourage the safe storage of firearms.”

Jones said Congress will pass gun control legislation and nothing, not the fillibuster in the Senate or the Supreme Court, will stop them.

“Enough is enough. Enough of you telling us that school shootings are effective life when every other country like ours has virtually ended. Enough of you blaming mental illness then defunding mental health care in this country. Enough of your thoughts and prayers. Enough. Enough. You will not stop us from advancing the ‘Protecting Our Kids’ Act today,” Jones said. “You will not stop us from passing it in the House next week and you will not stop us. If the filibuster obstructs us, we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects, we will expand it. We will not rest until we have taken weapons of war out of circulation in our communities.”

Yeah, yeah.  Bluster much, yes?

You go right ahead and queue that one up.  You find yourself 10 senators who don’t want to be reelected next cycle and pass something like that.

And by assault weapons we know you’re going after pistols too.  So let’s make a low estimate of a 400,000,000 such guns in America, 20,000,000 of which are AR-15s.

Then you go and convince 300,000 cops in America, the average age of which is 40 years old, to forcibly confiscate 400,000,000 weapons.

Let me know how that project works out for you.

To start with, I believe that we need to make sure that certain down trodden people of the world are well armed to protect themselves from self serving
bastards who are intent on subjugating them under their rule. So for starters, even though it may rub some folks the wrong way, I am
going to make sure that the Taliban, whom the US military wasn’t able to subdue in 20 years is well armed in case any other countries decide to try and
    conquer them.
I will as soon as elected, arm the Taliban with the following items.:
    155 mine-resistant autos,
    169 armored personnel carriers,
    42,000 vans and SUVs,
640,363 SAW machine guns (The kind that use 100 round boxes of belted ammo)
    162,043 radios,
    16,035 night vision goggles,
358,530 assault rifles (M4 FULL AUTO) We sure don’t want them to have SEMI AUTO!,
176 artillery cannon (You know, the kind that the Founding Fathers wouldn’t let you get back then),
126,295 9MM pistols (The kind that will blow your lungs out).

And of course we don’t want to leave out the Ukrainians!
I will stand by the coke snorting President all the way with at least
300 billion in military aid to make sure that his schools for the children of

will vote for me! I look forward to being YOUR President in the very near future!
On last note…all of you Trump supporting morons, BE SURE TO TURN IN YOUR AR-15’s, AR-10’s, AK’s, FN’s, SIG’s etc., because I can’t have the possibility that one of you actually might stop one of my supporters while they are shooting up a school, church, shopping center or other

That would be a stand-up fight, but these are not stand-up people. They won’t even try to confiscate them directly.

Instead, I expect they will take the Trudeau route, and cancel your bank account if you are known (by whatever means) to have weapons.

Yep, that is my assessment as well. It’s been a decade or more that people on our side of the fence started noticing huge ammo contracts being let by the government, some by agencies whose charter/mission have nothing whatsoever to do with LE or the military. Even taking into account the fact that there was a two-front war going in the ‘Stan and Iraq, plus normal training cycle demands, those procurements were still extremely large.

Attempted backdoor gun control by choking off the supply of ammunition? Undoubtedly, but the excuses, rationalizations and other explanations offered by the authorities didn’t stand up to scrutiny or pass the common-sense test.

Coupled with the fact of our porous borders admit many hardened gang members and other criminals and hooligans of various kinds, the outlines of their scheme begin to take place. These and their allies already on U.S. soil will comprise the de facto “domestic army” Obama spoke of years ago during his first campaign.

Then there is the fact that we know Obama, Holder, et al. are gun-runners who have trafficked in arms internationally in violation of international law. The “Fast & Furious” caper in Mexico and the southern U.S. was the warm-up act and test-of-concept for them. Once they got away with that operation without being caught, let alone punished… they took their act on the road to Benghazi, Libya and other points in the Middle East.

We now know that Obama, Clinton, et al. trafficked arms to individuals and entities who were designed as our enemies at the time, including the jihadists who took down the Benghazi compound and killed a number of American diplomatic and security personnel. What really went down there had to be covered up in order to preserve the deniability of Obama and his people long enough for the evidence to be destroyed, hidden, and so forth.

If a few hired hands had to be sacrificed, so be it… which is why Ambassador Stevens, Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, and two security contractors, former Navy SEALS Tyrone Woods and Glen Dougherty died when the regime could have saved them. Help was not sent in time solely because the higher-ups did not want to be implicated in the debacle.

Biden’s gifting of nearly a trillion dollars in U.S. weapons and military equipment to the Taliban upon our pulling-out of Afghanistan is just the cherry on top of that particular cake. And now, we read and hear that Afghan “refugees” are being admitted to the U.S. proper. Care to lay odds that at least some of them belong to the Taliban or other known terror-jihad groups?

The phenomenon you describe has been played out many times. Many refer to these unofficial armies as Brown Shirts, in reference to the way the Nazis used them. The cycle runs like this:
    1. The politicians, media and academics vilify their targets. In this case the targets are us.

    2. The population is disarmed, for safety. The Brown Shirts and politicians safety.

    3. A short time after the disarming, usually within a year or so, the Brown Shirts will begin kidnapping and or killing their opponents. Any resistance to the Brown Shirts will bring a police response to protect the Brown shirts and arrest or shoot the enemies of the Brown Shirts. The Brown Shirts themselves are usually disaffected and brainwashed youth. We have been able to see them up close for the past couple of years.

    4. After the communists use the Brown Shirts for their purposes the powers that be then turn on the Brown shirts and kill or inprison them so as to solidify the support of the population in general.

Most communist and fascist revolutions follow this pattern.

Tyrannical governments virtually always form police states in which the military, police or some variant thereof serve as the enforcement arm of the regime. I take the constant drumbeat of propaganda from the left for “disbanding the police” not as evidence that the left does not want police at all, but that they very much want some sort of secret police who are ideologically-reliable, committed to their cause, and otherwise on their side.

Leftism, being at war with reality itself, cannot survive in the wild without the boot of raw state power on the necks of the people themselves. Since so few people really, deep down, want what they are selling, the left realizes that their agenda must be imposed by force. Hence the long list of secret police forces in totalitarian states, ranging from the SA and Gestapo in National Socialist Germany 1933-1945, to the NKVD-KGB in the Soviet Union, to the East German Stasi and the Red Guards in communist China, amongst others.

@ Georgiaboy61. The left here has successfully subverted the police agencies to do their bidding. The FBI today is basically the KGB/Gestapo of our time. Most all of the local and state police agencies fall all over themselves to be helpful to the FBI so they get their pat on the head.

Remember all of the innocent people rounded up after January 6. Many of them did not even go into the Capitol building but were arrested just the same. The local police all helped with that. A couple of them were from here in Idaho. The video of their arrests showed the local police in mass helping to arrest the “insurgents”.

All of the politicians are on board as well. Ted Cruz called the people at the rally “terrorists.” He tried to change the message afterword to claim he did not mean what he said but his meaning and intent were clear.

The left already has the KGB. They will just activate the Brown Shirts to commit the obvious atrocities with the police protecting their actions. This so the police can try to maintain a fig leaf of legitimacy. It has all played out before. It will play out again.

A light data correction, hard to pin down the number but there are probably nearly 18,000 law enforcement entities in the USSA. Apologies for the long post.

Approx 12k+ local departments, 3k sheriffs office, and an unknown number of state and federal level coproaches not to mention the massive “gulag” department workforce from the state to the federal level for the zookeepers of caged citizens.

Nearly half of all local police departments have fewer than 10 officers. Three in 4 of the departments have no more than two dozen officers. And 9 in 10 employ fewer than 50 sworn officers.

The Federal agencies employ about 120,000 full-time officers authorized to carry guns and make arrests, according to a June 2012 Justice Department report.

Reluctantly, I am forced to agree with you.

Regarding your comments on the 6 January “insurrection,” the F.B.I.’s finger-prints are all over that bad boy. False flag all the way. Matt Bracken and many others warned that the planned event would be a “buffalo jump” a.k.a. a fiasco waiting to happen, but it went ahead anyway without any op-sec or any sort of attempt to thwart the operatives who were sure to infiltrate the ranks of the demonstrators.

S.O.P. for the deep-state and black bag boys is that if an event (such as a mass demonstration) is set to occur that they have tried to prevent, but have not, plan B is to subvert the event and once control has been gained, steer it in a direction that discredits the other side and helps yours.

The 6 January event was intended to be a peaceful demonstration of a multitude of Americans exercising their rights of free speech and assembly, who had gathered to present a list of their grievances to the members of Congress inside.
The bureau, however, having advanced warning of the gathering, was ready with infiltrators and other agents provocateurs – and you know the rest.

Note how the regime was able to seize control of the narrative and portray themselves as the “victims” when in reality, the people were the victims of a government drunk on its own power and hubris. Fake stories were leaked of “heroic” Capitol Police who died “protecting those selfless public servants” inside. The reality is that no government employee, sworn or not, lost his life that day,or was even threatened with harm.

The only “threats” were made by FBI infiltrators, not actual demonstrators, and the only fatality due to violence was Ashlee Babbett, a female USAF veteran who was shot and killed by a black Capitol PD officer. Babbett was unarmed, but the officer who killed her, Lt. Michael Byrd, claimed he acted in self-defense and was cleared of all wrong-doing in a hearing whose only purpose was to rubber-stamp the official pro-regime narrative. Not only was Boyd not censured or punished; a number of Congressmen and women lauded him as a hero!

Oh, and one other reason the op was staged as it was: Senator Ted Cruz was slated to present that day to the members of Congress, evidence gathered to suggest that the 2020 election was tainted and rigged in favor of Biden. Gee, how convenient for the regime that things happened when/how they did! Cruz’ testimony never happened and his opportunity was gone, never again to reappear. The fix was in – all the way in.

It is germane to note that some years ago, I believe when Obama was still in the White House, the mission statement of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was quietly changed from law enforcement and the investigation of crimes to “national security,” wherever the heck that means.

I am not up-to-date as of this moment, but last I heard, there were still de facto political prisoners in custody from 6 January, who were being held in violation of their constitutional rights, i.e., without being charged, without access to legal representation, without being granted a speedy hearing and trial, etc.

In other words, we are now a banana republic best-case scenario, but worse case scenario, something considerably uglier and more-dangerous than that.

Other fallout from the 6 January event is that the Biden regime has expanded the Capitol Police into what amounts to a nationwide organization. Given that their original mission statement was to guard U.S. government personnel at the Capitol itself, that is mission creep on steroids.

No apologies needed far as I am concerned…. and great job on the research.

The Founders warned us of the hazards of allowing large standing armies to formed on American soil, and I have a feeling all of these agencies constitute just that sort of thing, albeit by another name than an army. And these are just the ones for which information is available in the public domain….
