Truth, CAIR And Islam At The U.S. Army War College

BY Herschel Smith

Raymond Ibrahim writing at PJM.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (“CAIR”)—also known as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the largest terrorist funding case in U.S. history and a designated “terrorist organization” for nations allied to America—is again vehemently protesting my forthcoming appearance at the U.S. Army War College, urging the latter to “reconsider its decision and disinvite Ibrahim,” since my lecture will no doubt be “hypocritical, ahistorical and hateful.”

[ … ]

For the record, my lecture will revolve around my book, per the War College’s request—hence why CAIR regularly targets it. As such, here one must ask: if the book’s findings are so “unsubstantiated,” why does CAIR fear it so much? Does CAIR have such a low opinion of the intellectual capacity of the U.S. Army War College and its students, as to expect them to believe anything they are told, without adequate evidence?

[ … ]

… to reiterate my supposedly self-incriminating words—Islamic terrorism and extremism are intrinsic to Islam, and have been from its first contact with Western civilization in the seventh century.

This is of course a true statement.  CAIR fears the truth, or a better way of saying it is that the only thing Muslims consider truth is what promulgates and benefits Sharia.  Raymond’s lectures won’t do that, despite being true.  Do you see the distinction?

This is a good time for readers to recall my run-in with Professor Steve Metz at the U.S. Army War College.  He is blithely indifferent to any of this except to call truth-tellers full of hate, and he compares Sharia with “Boy Scout law.”  We should be worried about “creeping Boy Scout law.”

As for the intelligence level of most U.S. military officers today, I wouldn’t be so sanguine as Raymond.  They’ve been trained their whole lives to listen to their Marxist professors and to hate America.  Raymond may have a big job on his hands and get some pushback.  I hope he expects it and is prepared for it.

Your readers may be familiar with Major Stephen Coughlin (U.S. Army, ret.), formerly one of the foremost subject matter experts upon Islam and Muslim affairs within the U.S. military and national security communities.

The troubles being experienced by Raymond Ibrahim echo those experienced by another truth-teller, former U.S. Army intelligence officer Stephen Coughlin, not too many years ago.

Coughlin’s heretofore successful military career was abruptly terminated by the Obama White White/DOD, after CAIR and other Islamist organizations complained about Coughlin’s alleged “Islamophobia.” Prior to the complaints,Coughlin’s career had been marked by one exceptional fitness report after another, plus widespread respect in the special ops community for being a “truth-teller” about what our forces face in the sandbox.

Coughlin landed on his feet after being unceremoniously booted out of the Army, thanks to Frank Gaffney at the Center for Security Policy, and now continues to serve the nation as a civilian. The malign forces and people who attacked him and forced him to leave the military, however, remain.

It bears repeating and cannot be emphasized enough: Readers who want the truth about Islam won’t find it inside official U.S. government publications, nor will they find it in neo-Marxist textbooks that whitewash the long and violent history of Islam and its never-ending jihad (holy war) against the West and non-Muslims.

Those readers so motivated will find the truth in the counter-jihad movement of the present-day, and in the words/deeds of westerners dating back more than fifty years. Fifty years ago or so being when the great purge began of anything “uncomplimentary” about Islam. Such disparate historical figures as Theodore Roosevelt, Winston S. Churchill, and Thomas Jefferson and many others all wrote/spoke extensively about the danger Islam presented to Western (Christian) civilization.

9/11 prompted many Americans to learn the truth about the Islamic religion — that it had been spread by murderous, violent conquest for centuries, attempted to destroy Christian Europe for centuries, and that it was despotic and intolerant. As Mr. bin Laden quoted his prophet Muhammad in his 1998 manifesto, “I have been sent with the sword in my hands to ensure that no one but Allah is worshipped.”

These truths were suppressed by the American Establishment in both parties, right from the time W lied to us and told us that “Islam is peace” when in fact it actually means “submission.”

However, the study of this religion made me look critically at other religions as well, and I discovered that Judaism is equally murderous and intolerant. The Jewish religion believes that the god of the Jews murdered the Egyptian babies, but spared theirs. They celebrate this infant murder on their high holy holiday, Passover. The Jewish scripture relates that the god of the Jews instructed Saul to murder the Amalekites, including “women, children, oxen, and suckling babes.” When Saul holds the king of Amalek as a POW and fails to murder him as his god instructed, the god of the Jews gets pissed off and sends his prophet Samuel to personally murder the POW in cold blood. What kind of sick god is that??? The Jews celebrate Purim, in which the Jewess Esther sleeps with the Persian king, and gets his permission to allow Mordecai and his fellow Jews to murder 75,000 of their enemies.

Naturally, the American elites suppress these facts as well, and give billions of American dollars to the Jewish Zionist state, which is the fulfilment of the Jewish religion, while we indebt out children and grandchildren $23 trillion and climbing.

I think that the more we know about the savage, murderous Middle Eastern desert religions, the more we realize that Christianity really is the truth…

My nephew is a West Point grad from the 70s, and his intelligence is not the only worry. His commitment to the Constitution is similarly milquetoast. His younger brother graduated Colorado Springs some years later, and they hold nearly identical opinions about what their oaths actually mean, viz.: ‘meh’. Aside, they are both foaming-at-the-mouth Republicans. Go figure.

    @Frank,

As for the intelligence level, I should elaborate. It has to do more with world and life view, value judgments, and education.

All one has to do is look at the comments at the Small Wars Journal to get a picture of where we are today.

There are notable exceptions, of course, but mostly, I don’t trust the officer corps. Andrew Exum noted over his blog some years ago that he voted for Obama, and of course worked for CNAS, a noted prog think tank to whom Obama turned for his “foreign policy.”

    Herschel,

You will be surprised with the number of US Military Officers who have NOT listened to their Marxist professors and hate America. I have led, trained, mentored, and still do so many officers who quite understand where the danger is and truly love this great nation. One caveat…all of these are in the Army Reserves…can’t tell you about AC.

Never seen all these America-hating officers myself. Sure there are some retired ones that are big libs, and no doubt represent a fraction of the currently serving. Then again, I am of the generation where ROTC members on liberal campuses were reviled as baby-killers so it took a certain fortitude to embrace military values.

And the chickens have come home to roost.

Every segment of the military is run by sympathizers and worshipers of Allah. The ultimate goal of the fifth column of mussies in the government and military is the conquest of the West. It is being done right in front of us and nobody is fighting back. The military is training a new horde of Janissaries and there will be a reckoning.

“Have you ever heard of the Janissaries? The ferocious mercenary troops of the Sultans. Who were they? Simple: Christians. They were your children. Or rather, the kidnapped children of the Christian lands conquered by Islam. Young boys who were taken from their families and taught the art of war. And sodomy. All in the service to the Sultan. Once they had been ‘initiated’ into their new warrior brotherhood, their faith was gone, replaced by a rage that knew no bounds. A rage turned upon the faith of their parents, and all who held to it. And why not? After all, none of those Christians had come to their rescue. No one bothered to die for them. At least, nobody they knew.

“Say what you will about this, the facts are clear. These boy/men were the fiercest warriors of Islam. History attests to this. Constantinople fell to them. What an incredible irony. And since the East fell without aid from the West, would there be a price to pay for this in the West?

“Is there a parallel here? There is no doubt in my mind that there has been a similar phenomenon at work. We have seen it at work for at least 100 years in the institutions of the West. Young men were violated by those they should have been able to trust. No citations should be necessary here. Everywhere, from the Church to the Boy Scouts, to Public Schools, to almost every organization that has had some care or contact with the young. We have allowed our boys to be kidnapped.

“A good number of these boys (and girls too) in the West have become the vanguard of the LGBT army that has revolutionized everything in the West. The result has been a precipitous drop in trust in most institutions of the West. And rightly so. The fall of the East came from without. The cause of the weakness that rendered it weak came from within. The cause was religious nationalism. Embracing it meant that there were no allies outside the walls of Constantinople. At least, none that passed their purity test.

“In the West, the assault on the family also came from the outside. Caesar invaded our lives by peddling his Imperial nationalism. A nationalism that expected unconditional support for Caesar, who in return freed us from the religious beliefs of our forefathers. Like the Byzantine Christians, we saw our children kidnapped and we failed to go to the wall to defend them. After all, Caesar and his modern American Patriarchs have said our core Imperial value is equality. An LGBT-friendly army is the logical result. And we continue to enlist. Go figure.

“…[P]arents who would not rather die than see their children kidnapped by sexual ideologues have only themselves to blame. Who kidnapped our children? Or rather, kidnapped us? For it was my generation that was stolen, with a lie. The lie of the Sexual Revolution. Our parents never saw the Horde coming. They thought their children were safe, inside the institutional wall that had stood for a thousand years in the West. But now, we let our children go the same route with our blessing. Just look at Steven Spielberg, blessing his daughter’s desire to become a sex-worker.

“There you have it. The LGBT army is on the march, both East and West. It is built on the kidnapped children. Openly snatched in the ancient East, covertly so in the West. Until now, when Pete ButtBoy can openly talk on the debate stage of desiring ownership of someone else’s child. ‘I’m looking forward to it’, he says. I believe him.

“We have rejected our national birthright, and yet we still hope for the benefits our faithful fathers bequeathed us. We have forsaken our obedience to the national (founding) fathers of our past and, as a result, we now rightly fear the future. We simply want the Imperial present-day to continue in a perpetual Ground Hog Day re-run of our recent glory. But the moon landing was 50 years ago. The images are growing dim, and, like the pictures from Apollo XI, life used to be in black and white. Now we live in 50 shades of evil.”–WILLIAM M. BRIGGS
