Light Posting For The Next Few Days

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 5 months ago

It’s been a season of loss for me.  First, my job at the end of 2018.  Then my beloved dog of ten years, on New Year’s eve.

Today I lost my precious father, who passed away at 5:15 pm.  But the great thing is that he knew the Lord, so I will see him in heaven.  I will be posting, but it will be light.  I must focus on other things.  As always, talk to each other in the comments.

I pray the LORD to give you wisdom above all things, and comfort in this time, and if there be any among your tribe who know not the LORD, that they would be found, born again into the Kingdom of God through this trial, for may it be a time of expressing the great hope that your father and you have in Christ the resurrected Son of God. Herschel –

When my dad (Korea War vet, church Deacon/Elder) was on his death bed, I let him know that he had been the best father a son could have. He responded that I was the best son he could have asked for as a father.

I trust your relationship with your father was similar. I am sorry for your loss.
