Comment Of The Week

Darrell:

As a former police officer I find you statement about police officers to be filled with ignorance and the same hatred and malice intent that the democrats have been spewing forth for years. 98 percent of officers would not react like this yet you paint them all with a broad brush and just like the racist black lives matter you presume they are all the same. Then again you may just be a russian troll.

Cops, always wanting to be special and get out of accepting blame for their cowardice.

    Get rid of them.

Ignorance, hatred, and malice intent? No officer, we form our opinion from facts. 98% of police will stomp our rights right into the dirt to get home safe at night and your profession is twice as safe as a farmer or rancher. The militia would do a lot better job of policing.

Latest from Florida: there was at least one BSO deputy at the school and he did absolutely nothing. This is sounding more and more like a false flag by the minute.

Look, just like ANY profession, I don’t care if you discuss Rodeo Bronc Riders, Police, Fireman, Soldiers, Welders, Forklift Operators – you will ALWAYS have the malcontents, the alcoholics, the cowards, the dullards, the losers. Always. I helped Design and oversee the FIRST Army Special Forces Selection & Assessment Program in the late 80s. We started receiving what was told to us as the top 10% of the top 1% of all Army Enlisted and Officers candidates that qualified to volunteer for Special Forces Training and go on to try and get an 18 series MOS or Identifier. We selected(through a process of evaluation and voluntary withdrawals) approximately 30% of those candidates. So, at the end of a 3 wk ball busting selection course, starting with 300 Candidates, if 100 went on to 18 series training, we felt the best guys were moving on. Now, was our system perfect? Hell NO! We had guys slip through the cracks and make it all the way to SFODAs that were total slugs. Unmotivated cowards who would step on anyone or anything to climb the ladder, get another badge or play pretend warrior for just enough time to make connections and try to live off a bogus set of credentials once they retired. When I listen and see some of the low IQ idiots that make up citizen militias, some of the dull witted farmers and ranchers, the factory workers and or “bidnessmen” that didn’t volunteer to serve from my old home state back in the 70s – I wouldn’t put them on any higher scale of competence than these present day cops. One last question for all of you ripping on the cops for either being evil jackbooted Nazis, or Incompetent clowns – wouldn’t you rather have THAT when it comes time for the “State” to start clamping down? Those fools are easy to beat without even trying.

    Response:

My personal heartburn with the discussion, is how people cling to the farcical notion that the “Vast Majority”, or the 98% as was mentioned above, are such super duper good guys, are so rock solid and conservative, that they would never do such sordid things as confiscate guns from the populace during a state of emergency… that is until told to do just that and then they did it diligently.

I use sarcasm to get people to think critically. The Vast Majority will do exactly what they are told to do. If they are told to go stomp on YOU for the benefit of their political masters they will do it. If they are told to keep their cock holsters shut about a massive fraud on the public, such as Sandy Hook, or this last shooting Leftist Communist Betty Blowskirt High School in Florida, they will do it.

Police departments, and all LE agencies by and large, are a Gang, albeit the Gang With Official State Sanction. From the Cop’s perspective, anything which enhances the power they can wield over their subjects is good, while anything which enhances the ability of a person to stand manfully and say “NO!” is bad.

Just consider Officer Brailsford, who shot the Daniel Shaver in a hotel hallway. Shaver was groveling on the floor, begging for his life, and he was still murdered. Now I ask you, do you honestly think Brailsford was taken back to the locker room, given a good dose of wall to wall counseling by members of the Vast Majority, and encouraged to find another line of work? Or was he patted on the back and told, “Don’t worry Bud. You did the right thang. We got yer back!”

Do I need to mention Lon Horiuchi?

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the mythic Vast Majority to show themselves. It ain’t gonna happen.

And by the way Chuck, thanks a lot (sarcastic grin). I went through the third one you guys ran, Oct. of 88. Seems like four hundred of us went out to MacKall and if I remember correctly, eighty-eight of us got selected. Its lots of fun to look back on. Just don’t ask me to do it again.

98%–you are kidding me Mr. Cop/Thug?! Right?!

FYI–when the Columbine shooting occurred, ALL of the responding cops/thugs hunkered down outside of the school, surrounding the premises as the shooting kept going for another 20 minutes or so. They took ABSOLUTELY NO ACTION or attempted to enter the school to interdict the shooters as they were committing their crimes.

I remember about 25 years ago when the wife and I lived in Van Nuys (a section of Los Angeles)… one day the local gang and another decided to have an Okay-Corral style shootout right in front of our apartment building. At least 50 gang-bangers were running up and down the street right outside our window blasting away at each other (Mexican/Illegal gang BTW). A hundred or more shots were fired by both sides at each other.

I called the LAPD–and no one showed up. Not even afterwards when the thugs had all disappeared. I counted about 15 bullet holes in our apartment building.

The cowardly police were nowhere to be seen that day–or anytime afterwards.

Don’t talk to me about cops/thugs being brave.
They are only brave with a citation book in their hand.

If I need help to deal with an existential threat I’m not calling the Kripos to save me (Maybe to save me the expense and inconvenience of blowing the perp away if the situation permits such dallying). It’s probably better to call 911 after it’s all over with but the shouting. Then you’re just reporting the incident and you can tell the dispatcher that it’s safe.

I always have to ask aloud: Why aren’t the supposed “good cops,” handling the “bad cops?”

Answer: because there are good cops, bad cops and rogue cops and one stands a 66% chance of running into either a bad or rogue cop, in any encounter..

Not good odds imo, so i take the perspective and approach, that until proven otherwise, all cops are either bad or rogue and act accordingly.

all one has to do is look at Nazi Germany, the police state created, and the enforcement arm was mainly local police working with and for, the various higher level police/intel agencies.

Shockingly, our systems are directly modeled after the German model..

Local LE/FLEA will do whatever their pay masters dictate, or suffer the consequences. There will always be a warm body to fill that role…

Think Squad Rules, from Northern Ireland….

I got yer maliciousness right here:

According to the Miami Herald, the sheriff’s office received a tip in November that Cruz could be a school shooter, a tip that was unfortunately ignored

And the Herald informs us of this:

Feb. 5, 2016: A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy is told by an anonymous caller that Nikolas Cruz, then 17, had threatened on Instagram to shoot up his school and posted a photo of himself with guns. The information is forwarded to BSO Deputy Scot Peterson, a school resource officer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

    Source: https://legalinsurrection.com/2018/02/marjory-stoneman-douglas-high-school-resource-officer-resigns-stayed-outside-and-did-not-engage-shooter/

Cowardice. Dereliction of duty. The sheriff should be run out of office, tarred and feathered and then run out of town on a rail.

But somehow, this is all the NRA’s fault?

“The whole Good Cop / Bad Cop question can be disposed of much more decisively. […] We need only consider the following:

    (2) Many of the laws are manifestly unjust, and some are even cruel and wicked;
    (3) Therefore every cop has to agree to act as an enforcer for laws that are manifestly unjust or even cruel and wicked.

    There are no good cops.”
