Columbus Sought To End Islamic Tyranny

When the Spanish Christian monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella recaptured Granada on January 2, 1492, they ended almost eight centuries of jihad ravages (described by Bertrand in 1934, and in 2016 here) — massacres, pillage, mass enslavement, and deportation — and the grinding imposition of Sharia by Spain’s various pious Muslim conquerors, and rulers. Bertrand’s unsparing narrative describes the bitter, chronic fate of Spain’s Christians under Islam, both those fully subjugated and the populations never entirely subdued in the semi-autonomous northern regions:

The Christians of the interior were mastered. They had lost their leaders and their principal centers of resistance. The armies of the Caliph, the Arab and Berber chieftains, had massacred them, burned them out and pillaged them to the best of their ability. Thus decimated and humiliated, they nevertheless continued to exist, in a furtive and more or less precarious way of life …The Christians of the North scarcely knew the meaning of repose, security, or any of the amenities of life. They were continually at war with their Musulman [Muslim] neighbors. It was the fatality of that Arab conquest, a superficial and hasty conquest, never carried through to the end, that it had divided the country into two irreducible camps: that of the replete, and that of the hungry; those who held the best soil, and those who were relegated to the mountains or to desert plains…[The Muslims] interposed a desert between themselves and the Christians, and made a waste of the region which lay on the left bank of the latter [Duero] river. This was what they called “the Great Desert.” …

To keep the Christians in their place it did not suffice to surround them with a zone of famine and devastation. It was necessary also to go and sew terror and massacre among them. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, an army sallied forth from Cordova to go and raid the Christians, destroy their villages, their fortified posts, their monasteries and their churches, except when it was a question of expeditions of larger scope, involving sieges and pitched battles. In cases of simply punitive expeditions, the soldiers of the Caliph confined themselves to destroying harvests and cutting down trees. Most of the time they took the field to win booty. A district was allowed to re-people itself and be brought under cultivation; then it was suddenly fallen upon. Workers, harvesters, fruits and cattle were seized.

The religious Islamic jihad motivations for this devastation, and related “pious,” sadistic savagery of their triumphal execution, were underscored by Bertrand:

If one bears in mind that this brigandage was almost continual, and that this fury of destruction and extermination was regarded as a work of piety — it was a holy war against the infidels — it is not surprising that whole regions of Spain should have been made irremediably sterile. This was one of the capital causes of the deforestation from which the [Iberian] Peninsula still suffers. With what savage satisfaction and in what pious accents do the Arab annalists tell us of those at least bi-annual raids!A typical phrase for praising the devotion of a Caliph is this: “he penetrated into Christian territory, where he wrought devastation, devoted himself to pillage, and took prisoners. After that he brought the Musulmans back to Cordova safe and sound and laden with booty.” Abd er Rhaman [r. 912-961 A.D.], in the course of a campaign in Navarre, “did not fail, whenever a Christian retreat was to be found in the neighborhood, to carry destruction there and deliver the surrounding countryside to incendiarism, so that the Christian territory was ravaged by the flames to an extent often square miles.”

The same Caliph, when he laid siege to Toledo, began by destroying everything in the rich plain which surrounded the town. “He commenced by doing the rebels unimaginable harm. He remained there for thirty-seven days without ceasing his devastation cutting down the trees, pillaging and ruining the villages, destroying all the crops.” And again: “the strongholds of this region were reduced to ruins. Not one stone was left upon another…, The suburbs were surrendered to the flames, the harvests and all the property in the neighborhood were utterly ravaged and laid waste.”

Bertrand also chronicled the 11th and 12th century North African Berber Muslim Almoravid and Almohad invasions of Spain. These renewed jihad campaigns wrought not only further ravages and persecutions of Spain’s Christians, but massive population transfers:

From the outset of the Almoravid invasion the destruction of Christian churches had begun. … The faquis [Muslim clerics] commenced to persecute the Christian Mozarabs [dhimmis] so intolerably that they begged the King of Aragon, Alfonso the Warrior, to come and deliver them. The Aragonese did not succeed in taking Granada. When they retreated, the faquis avenged themselves on the Mozarabs in the most merciless fashion. Already ten thousand of them had been compelled to emigrate into the territory of Alfonso to escape their enemies’ repression. The remainder were deprived of their property, imprisoned, or put to death. Many of them were deported to Africa. They were established in the neighborhood of Sale and Meknes, where oppression of all kinds compelled them to embrace Islam.Ten years later there was a fresh expulsion. The Christians were again deported to Morocco en masse. Here, then, were cities and whole districts depopulated by massacres and proscriptions. This corresponded with a plan drawn upon in advance, a systematic course of action. “Sultan Yousouf,” writes [Muslim historian] Marrakeshi, “never failed to repeat at every one of his audiences: ‘To rid the [Iberian] Peninsula of the Christians that is our sole purpose … ’” Accordingly, after having expelled the Christians, he replaced them by Berbers. “To combat our enemies,” said Yousouf himself, “I shall fill Spain with horsemen and footmen who think nothing of repose, who do not know what it is to live softly, whose sole thought is to groom and train their horses, take care of their arms, and hasten to obey their orders.” The Almohads devoted themselves no less ardently to repopulating the South of Spain by filling it with Africans and Arabs.

Not surprisingly, as Bertrand notes, following “so many massacres and expulsions,” accompanied by a “new flood of barbarous and fanatical [Muslim] invaders,” Christians and Muslim “religious passions and hatreds acquired intensified vigor and virulence.” As a result, he concluded:

Once more the fatal dilemma which had hung over Spain for more than four centuries [i.e., since the 8th Century Arab invasion, through the 12th Century Almohad invasion] presented itself to the Spaniards: expel the foreigner, or be expelled by him!But as the rationale for Columbus’ voyage demonstrates, even Ferdinand and Isabella’s reconquest of  Granada three centuries later did not solve the broader “dilemma” of Islam’s global jihad. Shortly after Granada was reconquered, Ferdinand and Isabella agreed to fund and provision Christopher Columbus’ voyage. His expedition, which serendipitously ended in the discovery of the Americas, had for its original objective, as Bertrand documents:

… to reach the East Indies, so as to take Islam in the rear, and to effect an alliance with the Great Khan — a mythical personage who was believed to be the sovereign of all that region, and favorable to the Christian religion — and finally, after the sectaries of Mahomet had been reduced to impotence, to diffuse Christianity throughout that unknown continent and trade with the traditional source of gold and spices.Bertrand argued Columbus himself “left no room for doubt” about this religious motivation in his Journal (see Journal of the First Voyage of Columbus, Wisconsin Historical Society):

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Christian, the most high, the most excellent and most powerful princes, King and Queen of the Spains … In this present year 1492, after Your Highnesses had brought to an end the war against the Moors who reigned in Europe, and after Your Highnesses had terminated this war in the very great city of Granada, where, in this present year, on the 2nd of the month of January, I saw, by force of arms, the royal banners of Your Highnesses planted on the towers of the Alhambra, the citadel of the said city, and where I saw the Moorish king come out of his gates and kiss the royal hands of Your Highnesses; And immediately afterwards, in this same month, in consequence of information which I had given Your Highnesses on the subject of India, and of the Prince who is called the “Great Khan/ which, in our Roman, means ‘the King of Kings’ namely, that many times he and his predecessors had sent ambassadors to Rome to seek doctors of our holy faith, to the end that they should teach it in India, and that never has the Holy Father been able so to do, so that accordingly so many peoples were being lost, through falling into idolatry and receiving sects of perdition among them; “Your Highnesses, as good Christian and Catholic princes, devout and propagators of the Christian faith, as well as enemies of the sect of Mahomet and of all idolatries and heresies, conceived the plan of sending me, Christopher Columbus, to this country of the Indies, there to see the princes, the peoples, the territory, their disposition and all things else, and the way in which one might proceed to convert these regions to our holy faith. And Your Highnesses have ordered that I should go, not by land, towards the East, which is the accustomed route, but by the way of the West, whereby hitherto nobody to our knowledge has ever been.

It’s nice to see the truth exposed, but what I find most interesting is the highlighted (bolded) part (bold mine).

So it was, and so it shall be.  Unless and until Christians reclaim their militant roots, the same roots that led to the Calvinian reformation and the American war of independence, the same roots that created the very notion of a second amendment to the constitution, they will be relegated to starvation, enslavement, misery, and ultimately death.

Because acknowledging why requires acknowledging that Christ is real, that He came, was killed by the Jews as the passover lamb for all of our sins and that the destruction of Isreal and Judah by God were a direct result of His being rejected.

And that the further destruction of Europe by one anti christ, the mohad, was due to the people embracing yet another anti christ, Catholicism. Nothing pisses a jew off more than a happy follower of Christ Jesus. We must all be killed, they reason. So says their talmud and so says the koran.

And nothing, and this is my point, I would venture, pisses God off more than fake christians. America will end, soon.

anti christs are everywhere. No, your government won’t save you because it can’t because it knows not wherefore, why, and for whom the end comes. I suspect that the American Church doesn’t have a clue either. They really should read the book that they claim and so should you. It is after all, for better or for worse, like it or not, the foundational document of our civilization. Ask no man, no priest to interpret it for you but seek God alone. Our ignorance in this case is not bliss, it’s quite the opposite. Ignorance of the Law of God will not be an excuse.

(Oh looky there, a foundation of western jurisprudence direct from the Holy Bible. You really should read the book. It’s all in there.)

Since people have wondered, here are the versus that came to mind while writing the above, in no particular order:
“Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
“And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
“And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.”
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

The version of history they teach kids in Spain and Italy must be even worse than what they do here. Centuries of Jihad and everything that goes with it – piracy, rape, pillage, slavery, Dhimmitude, etc… Over seven centuries for the Reconquista to clear them out of the Iberian Peninsula.

If they did teach history accurately, Spain, Portugal, Austria, and Italy would never allow another Muslim to set foot there.

The difficulty for Spaniards and Spain is that once a given region or place has been under Islamic rule, Muslims are taught that it thereafter belongs to the “one true faith.”

Osama Bin Laden’s repeated references to “al-Andalus” in his various videotaped messages to the West, when speaking of Spain – exemplifies this phenomenon.

Over five centuries after the Spanish reconquest of the Iberian peninsula, the Saracens are still sore at losing that place. This sense of grievance, passed down from one generation of Muslims to the next, is part of what keeps the mujahedeen ready-and-willing to wage jihad.

That the September 11th attacks took place when they did was no accident; 11 September 1483 was the pivotal day upon which the Ottoman Siege of Vienna was broken by the Christian armies of Polish King Jan III Sobieski and his winged hussars. A date which has lived on in infamy for the followers of the prophet.

You are quite correct, that once property is owned by a Muslim, anywhere, it’s never sold to a non-Muslim ever again. There are over 18 mosques in South Carolina and over 30 in North Carolina, all will never be sold to a non-Muslim unless they are made unusable by sowing the blood or entrails of swine over the property, too thick to be removed. Muslims will fight you in court or with gun fire over this.

Why do I say such dastardly things? Because I have seen/participated in making it work on other totalitarians. To wit, in early 1990s PETA moved their HQ to my AO of Tidewater, VA. They took their boat out to the CBBT to harass the Bubbas (I was there and am witness to all described below) trolling the bridge pylons first day of striper season. Their boat sustained multiple dings and holes from 16 oz downrigger cannon ball sinkers and more than one Bubba pulled a SS Remmy Mariner 870 on them. They retreated back to home port Waterside Norfolk. Once the day was over, no less than 30 boats, minimum 2 Bubbas per boats, daily limit was two striper per Bubba cleaned their fish and dumped a heaping stinkin pile o’ innards on the deck of HMS PETA. Guess what, we never saw them again to this very day – 35 years later – a generation. Let’s get on the Crusader bandwagon and deal some generational scars on the enemies of Christiandom or decent humanity, in general. Quite correct. Most westerners, in particular secular post-modern westerners, see something like a church, temple or synagogue when they look at a mosque – but such a view is dangerously naïve and myopic, not to mention historically illiterate.

To a devout Muslim, a true believer or shahid, the mosque is not only a place of worship, it is also a meeting place for the local Muslim community, a clearing house for information and a place for meeting various needs – social, educational, intellectual. The nerve center of the local Islamic population.

A mosque, no matter where it is located, is considered sovereign Islamic ground, Muslim territory and part of Dar al-Islam. Except under special circumstances – such as permission by the imam (Islamic cleric) – kaffirs and infidels (non-Muslims) are not permitted to enter.

Mosques are considered military fortifications, fortresses for the faith. A fact alluded to by Sunni Muslim and neo-Ottoman President Recep Erdogan of Turkey, when he said, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers.”

Any infantryman – Army or Marine – who’s done some recent combat time in the sandbox can vouch for the fact that jihadist snipers like to hide in the minarets of mosques, since so many Coalition officers are reluctant to issue orders to fire upon mosques. These same grunts can also vouch for how often arms caches are uncovered at mosques. Herschel, if you re reading this, ask your son about it. I’m sure he can corroborate this.

In short, the mosque is a Muslim beachhead in infidel lands. A place from which the soldiers of Allah can wage jihad against the enemies of Islam.

Man alive, do you really want to go down that rabbit hole? I don’t – but I will throw you a bone. It is possible that some elements of the 9-11 narrative which have been communicated to the American public are in error or do not tell the whole story. I am perfectly willing to admit that lies to the American public all of the time, and that this may be one of those times.

The problem I have with so many of the 9-11 conspiracy theorists – i.e., the guys who say that the Twin Towers were actually brought down by a controlled demolition instead of by the giant, fuel-laden jumbo jets which hit them, etc. etc. all the way down to “Mossad did it” – is that they completely discount the fact that the jihadists had both the method and the motive for bringing down the WTC Towers, and had in fact tried and failed to do so in the WTC bombing of 1993.

Frankly, a lot of the conspiracy theories sound like to me to be the sort of stuff that the Saudis would order their foreign-intelligence agencies and personnel to churn out, the better to redirect people who (correctly, as it turned out) suspected the involvement of the Saudi government and royal family in the planning and financing of the 9-11-2001 attack, as detailed in the redacted portions of the 9-11 report. In particular, the constant claims that Mossad were responsible. That’s exactly what the Arabs – or the Iranians or Pakistanis or Turks, for that matter – would say.

It is, in my humble estimation, an error to call our Islamic enemies “irrational” – for most of them have thought deeply about Islamic doctrine and the causes and effects of their actions. They know what they are doing and why. Oh, there are fanatical martyrs-in-waiting, brainwashed in the madrasas, but apart from them, many of the leaders of the Great Jihad against the West are highly-educated men – Bin Laden was an engineer; Ayman al-Zawahiri – the present leader of al-Qaeda – is by training a physician, and so on.

Westerners, even religious ones, sometimes have a hard time understanding the Muslim mindset given how totally Islamic figures into everything a believer (shahid) does. There are motives and reasons for doing things which transcend mere economic or geopolitical advantage or the like.

The overarching reason for the 9-11-2001 attacks and virtually all of the other acts of jihad committed against the West – not only in the present day but in the past as well – is that the foundational sources of Islam – the Koran (the Islamic holy book, considered the revealed word of Allah), the Hadiths (the traditions and practices of Mohammed) and the Sira (the life of Mohammed) – command eternal holy war (jihad) against non-Muslims until the whole of the world submits to Islam and all men belong to the umma and are within Dar al-Islam (The House of Islam).

Although it is little-known amongst most modern-day (i.e., historically-illiterate) westerners, human chattel slavery has been illegal in much of the Islamic world only for a half century or so. Saudi Arabia abolished slavery only in 1962, with Algeria and Kuwait following in 1963. Ethiopia and Maritius outlawed it in 1969; Oman waited until the following year. Mauritania abolished slavery in 1986, but did not criminalize it until 2007. Kazakhstan did not abolish slavery until 2008 – only ten years ago!

Moreover, the “official” de jure prohibitions against slavery notwithstanding, de facto, the practice still remains extremely common throughout the Islamic world, in particular in the Sunni Arab states of the Middle East.

Readers may recall the 2008 action film “Taken” starring Liam Neeson as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills, whose daughter (played by Maggie Gallagher) is kidnapped and taken into sexual slavery by a Paris-based gang of Albanian Muslims, and slated to be auctioned off to the highest bidder – a wealthy sheik – before she can be rescued. “Taken,” unfortunately, does not in large part represent fiction – but fact. European women, in particular young and/or fair-haired/fair-skinned women, are highly-sought-after in the underground human-trafficking marketplace.

Wealthy clients from the Middle East and other Muslim regions pay handsomely for such women, who are termed within Islam “Banu al-Asfar,” which in Arabic means “children of the yellow,” a reference to the fair hair and skin of slaves taken by Mohammed and his men on raids into what is now SE Europe and Russia (then called Byzantine).

The Rotherham Grooming Gangs scandal in Britain is also of a piece with this phenomenon.

The soldiers of Allah, over the last 1,400 years, have not only been the most-prolific killers of all time (270 million dead at the hands of Islam), but the most-prolific takers and traders of slaves, with uncounted millions taken into captivity – male, female, white, black, Christian, Jew, Hindu or Buddhist – all were taken.

It is what the believers do – for through Mohammed, Allah commands it.

These are not people who can be negotiated with. They must be fought – and fought hard, lest our civilization enter a new dark age at the hands of Islam, not unlike the first Dark Age, which ended the classical Greek-Roman period of the antiquity, and lasted nearly a thousand years before the rule of the Saracens was finally broken.

As historian Henri Pirenne, and other historians in the realist school, noted almost all medieval and renaissance towns on the northern Mediterranean shore were protected by walled fortification against Muslim seaborne invasion and slave taking.

Jesus Christ was not a Jew, he was an Israelite of the house of Israel. Israel was a man, not a geographical location. Prior to 1948 there was no piece of land called Israel. The Second Temple was completely run by non-Israelites; that is Edomites, Canaanites, and other non-Israelite tribes. God had the Romans destroy the Second Temple so that not one stone remained standing upon another. Further, all of the records of the Talmuds, those Edomites and Canaanites, in the Second Temple were destroyed, mostly by burning in 70AD. No one, today, knows where the Second Temple stood because the Romans were very thorough in their destruction. The so-called “Wailing Wall” is a portion of the Roman Fort Antonia, where the garbage was dumped during the Roman time.

Moving along the time line we come to the Mamilla Pool Massacre in 614AD. This saw the deaths of 60,000 Palestinian Christians (Byzantines) at the hands of Talmuds. That’s equivalent to 6,000,000 today. The Persians finally stopped the massacre.

The assaults upon Christians, by Talmuds, did not stop post 614AD.

So we’re going to cover this one last time, and I do mean one last time.

This isn’t going to turn into a Jew-hate web site. Anyone who wants that can find another place to comment.

Jew is a race, an ethnicity. Jesus was a Jew. He was of the line of David. He came to His own, and His own “did not receive Him.” Paul was a “Jew of Jews,” giving him more authority and a point to make as the apostle to the Gentiles.

The Jews at the time of Jesus were the vessel the Father used to put His son to death as a vicarious atonement for the sins of His people. “His people” were those who would receive Him. Christ didn’t die for everyone. For it was He who “came to save HIS PEOPLE from their sins.”

If anyone believes that is he was there at the time and would have chosen differently than those who put Jesus to death, in their unredeemed state, he is a fool.

To be a Christian means that the believe knows and accepts that it was his own sins that nailed Jesus to the cross and put Him in the grave. If a person doesn’t believe that, he doesn’t believe in the vicarious atonement, and therefore he is not a Christian.

Jesus didn’t come to “show us the way,” or be a good man, or be a good example to His followers. He came to perish on the cross and thus be a vicarious atonement. If a person doesn’t believe that, and if they believe in the so-called moral influence view of the atonement, he is not a Christian.

Christian doctrine comes from the Holy Writ, delivered to us in systematic form in Nicea, Chalcedon, the Council of Orange, the Canons of Dort, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Westminster Confession of Faith. I have no patience for exotic, esoteric, silly theology.

I am not anti-Jew. I am not anti-Arab. I’m not anti-anything except anti-those who are anti-Christ. If you wish to bash anti-Christs, go ahead. That’s fine with me. Those who are anti-Christ are my enemy.

One final point. A Jew can be a Christian, or may not be. An Arab can be a Christian, or may not be. But a Muslim cannot be a Christian. That’s impossible.

Not sure if some of your ire was directed at me but you should know by now that I sit ‘astonied’ at being known before the foundation of the world but don’t think the discussion of predestination is helpful in the presence of unbelievers as it potentially plants a negative seed instead of a positive one. I could have been clearer, but used “all of our sins” by way of open invitation since I don’t know who is called, or being actively called in that moment, and who is not except afterward, by their fruits. I should have added ‘if you believe on Him’.

One thing is certain, the crucifixion of Christ does not atone for the sins of an unbeliever, although it was the unbelievers sins, including mine, that nailed Him to the cross. Thank you for reminded me of this. It has sort of ruined my day but in a good way.

I agree with everything you said.

“… it was the unbelievers sins, including mine, that nailed Him to the cross.”

And thus you are a believer, as am I.

In the back of my mind over the couple of days, I have considered and reconsidered your remarks, and have this to add to what I have already stated, for what it is worth…

Leaving aside for a moment that these are the enemy we are discussing, one has to credit the al-Qaeda leadership cadre for their astute reading of the American mindset, specifically that of the senior political and military leadership – in the planning of the 9-11 operation.

The ROI of the operation, in geopolitical and economic terms, was stupendous – something on the order of millions to one or perhaps even billions to one, in terms of the time and effort expended by al-Qaeda versus the damage inflicted upon the U.S. and her allies.

For the relatively modest investment of some believers willing to martyr themselves, some flight training, and some simple tools (box cutters, no less!) and a few other resources, Bin Laden and company were able to cause a massive strategic overreaction.

Like an expert martial artist who provokes an opponent into attacking and then redirects his energy to throw him when he does, AQ and its leaders provoked the U.S. into engaging in the so-called “Global War on Terror,” resulting in the costly and bloody quagmires in not only Afghanistan – at fifteen years, our longest war and no end in sight – but in Iraq as well.

A fortune in treasure we couldn’t afford to spend wasted to no good end, seriously-damaged international credibility, armed forces worn down after years of high ops-tempo, and the blood and suffering of our fallen and WIA. Billions more in economic growth and prosperity gone as well.

Perhaps worst of all, at least from the standpoint of the ordinary American, has been the enormous damage done to civil society and our civil liberties. Since 9-11, America has become a police state – a garrison state on permanent war footing.

All in all, a nearly textbook example of how to wage 4GW(fourth generation warfare). Not bad for a bunch of illiterate goatherds, as some have called the Arabs.

And we do know that al-Qaeda received high-level assistance, financing and other support through the Saudi government and royal family. Implicated are Prince Bandar bin Sultan al Saud, the head of Saudi intelligence, as well as billionaire and Islamic supremacist Prince al-Walid Bin Talal. Undoubtedly, there were others further down the hierarchy.

The Arab Sunni Muslims belong to a tribal culture in which martial prowess is celebrated and considered a source of great prestige. The more powerful and formidable the enemy, the greater the prestige in fighting him. There would be no greater prestige and honor than to wage jihad against the “Great Satan,” as the U.S. is called by their imams.

@Georgiaboy61 Point taken. So yea, knowing that dictators sacrifice their own to their own ends – makes sense. Still, seems a little too high brow and Machiavellian from a strategery (to riff off the Kennebunk moron) standpoint. I just dont see them as being that geopolitically saavy. They know their stated oil field reserves are bullshit, shoot, anyone who studies the data knows it and perhaps they see their agreement with Kissinger’s “Petrodollar” scheme has run its course and are pivoting eastward – maybe makes sense to me. Are they bad actors with the Quataris (good morning Syria and the desired gas pipeline to Europe) and the Bhrainians (sp?), yep.

But again, qui bono? PNAC statements regarding the need for a “new Pearl Harbor,” neocons lusting for resources in the Middle East. We went into Afghanistan for freedom, bullshit, that’s a historical anvil that empires die on. We went there for trillion $$ plus of precious metals, rare earth minerals cuz the Chinese are boxing us out of that in their homeland and the Congo. Today’s war machine runs on rare earth metals. Not a Churchhill fan but he did say wars are robbery writ large.

We rail on this blog as well as others; WRSA, Mosby, American Partisan, Bracken, John Rutherford, Ole Remus, White Rose, Brushbeater, JC Dodge (well maybe not his) on the totalitarian bent of local LEOs. Look at the slavish worship propaganda everywhere for .mil and .leo as a result of 9/11. Do honorable people seek those professions, yes, I have friends and loved ones who are there so let’s get that out of the way. But what they actually do……? Again, qui bono, perhaps the Ayrabs did but I would say it pales in comparison to what .gov gained in knee jerk ‘murica worship. Patriot Act? Shoot, in a box sitting on a shelf in the Senate cloakroom, someone pulled it out blew the dust off and it passed in less than TWO weeks. I assume you tend to shy away from the CIA scripted phrase of “conspiracy theory” but who were the consultants to the DHS? Ex Stasi and NVD. Operation Northwoods, come on. Look, I presently work with customers from millwright to Fortune 100 CEO – there are two types of people in this world – those who want to be left alone and those who wont leave us alone. Memes say 1984 wasnt an instruction manual but look where we are since 9/11/01 – nuff said.

    Love ya mean it.

Are there are folks who hate us and are dangerous, yes. That said, Pax Americana and Empire, in general, is not a good thing. The neocon Straussian philosophy of only one superpower is poison and has killed untold numbers of innocent people globally. Albright saying 500K kids dying in Iraq due to sanctions is worth it? If you believe same, you are evil – period, all stop. Back to my original premise, are the Musloids bat shit crazy imbeciles stuck in a 14th century paradigm of religious (nay political) conversion by force – of course. Read their crappy fourth grade literature, holy book and subsequent cliff notes and one sees how utterly narrow-minded they are considering the complexity of the Creator’s universe. Do they have justification to be pissed if their wedding party is blown to “paradise” prematurely by a drone strike – yep, I would – and be looking for some payback – infidel or not.
