President Jair Bolsonaro has called on millions of Brazilians to arm themselves as soon as possible to fight against the tyrannical elites who want to enslave them. “Everyone should buy a gun, damn it! Armed people will never be enslaved,” Bolsonaro told a crowd of supporters outside his official residence, the Alvorada Palace, on Friday, Newspunch.com reports.

He acknowledged that guns “cost a lot,” but urged gun opponents to stop nagging people who are willing and able to pay to buy them, writes Rt.com.

During his campaign for office, Bolsonaro vowed to relax Brazil’s gun laws so citizens could protect themselves from the country’s rampant crime and violence. And he has kept that promise, issuing nearly a dozen decrees making firearms, including semi-automatic assault rifles, more readily available to the public. However, some of them were amended by the National Congress.

The president’s latest initiative in February allowed Brazilian citizens to possess up to six guns and removed the federal police and military from overseeing firearms possession. Those who have a hunting license can now buy 30 rifles, while marksmen can have up to 60. According to data obtained by law enforcement newspaper O Globo, the number of privately owned firearms in the country has risen from about 700,000 to more than 1.2 million since 2018.

I only agree that armed people will never be enslaved assuming the will to use them.

A man who doesn’t believe in slavery of his people wants them armed in order to defend against tyrannical elites.  Meanwhile, the elites in America are trying everything possible to disarm the public.

Next, Duke University is out with an analysis of lower court decisions in the aftermath of Bruen. You can read their summary.

Since Bruen was issued on June 23, lower courts have begun to apply its new framework to Second Amendment challenges.  As of today there are no major developments in the four cases that the Court GVR’ed shortly after Bruen, which include a challenge to Hawaii’s proper-cause analogue, two magazine-capacity cases, and a challenge to Maryland’s assault weapons ban.  However, in the month following Bruen, some state and lower federal courts have issued decisions invoking Bruen.  This post summarizes a handful of notable decisions.

Bruen is being ignored by a Federal Judge in Minnesota. Nobody is surprised that the Left ignores the law; they are anarchists top to bottom.

Next, Missouri Sheriffs continue resisting the FBI’s CCW list audit. They want the list; make no mistake. It has nothing to do with crime or public safety; they want you in a database.

Wheatley is among the sheriffs who received an email from Missouri’s Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s office on Aug. 9 in which he reminded law enforcement officers not to comply.

“We’re the highest ranking freely elected law enforcement of the state and it’s up to us to stand up for the rights of Missouri citizens,” Wheatley told the Epoch Times.

“The federal government, they overstep some, and it’s our job to put them in check and stand up for what we know is right.”

Also, the Washington Times has an opinion piece about BATFE’s new NICS denial and delay procedures. Any third grader can see this will eventually lead to every purchase being delayed, the purchaser being investigated, and serial numbers captured. They want to attain their holy grail database, implemented so they can make you turn them in. How do we know this? Because that’s what they’ve done the world over for generations.

Gun owners and constitutionalists at large are growing increasingly concerned by an invasive new policy to be enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which will mandate the reporting of background-check delays and denials to local law enforcement when someone tries to purchase a firearm. We can already predict the negative consequences of this poorly designed policy, with innocent individuals trying to buy a gun being inadvertently flagged by the National Instant Criminal Background Check System and, shortly after, angrily greeting law enforcement at their front door.

Dean Weingarten has a very informative article up at Ammoland.  He’s always a good read, although I disagree with his seeming exoneration of the NRA in these affairs.  It’s not just that they didn’t stop some of it, they actively participated in it, and failed to stop the worst parts.  Those failures today haunt the firearms community.

I won’t lift any of the article.  In this case it would be bad form since it’s so long and detailed.  But go read his piece.

Sen Thomas Dodd (Christopher’s corrupt, demonrat father; another political dynasty) had many roles in government including a stint with the FBI, and was second ranking lawyer at the Nuremberg Trials, it is there where he is said to have obtained and retained a copy of the Nazi’s Gun Control Acts. … Many will recall JPFO translated the Nazi 1938 Act and compared it to US GCA of 1968 proposed by Dodd; they are in all material respects the same legislation.

(Reuters) – A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld a 2019 federal rule banning so-called “bump stocks,” a rapid-fire gun attachment that was used in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that guns equipped with bump stocks qualify as machine guns, which federal law almost entirely bans. The decision was a setback for the Sacramento, California-based non-profit Firearms Policy Coalition and other gun rights advocacy groups that had sued to challenge the rule.

My understanding is that when a case will impact every circuit court, the appeal goes to D.C. circuit.

What a shame.  Never forget what happened (the executive branch literally made law in lieu of the Legislative branch doing it), where this rule came from (ATF), who recommended it (NRA), and who ordered the ATF to do it (Trump).

And to think, all of this was to cover up a running gun battle for miles and miles down main street in Las Vegas, perpetrated by someone other than the stated culprit.

On Thursday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced he had suspended woke Soros-backed state attorney Andrew Warren after his declaration that he would refuse to enforce any Florida laws restricting abortion or transgender surgeries for minors.

“State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,” DeSantis said. “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida. I have the utmost trust that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”

As awesome as it was to see DeSantis take such a stand for the rule of law, this story is even better than we thought. According to the executive order, DeSantis sent police to remove him.

As of the signing of this Executive Order, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by other law enforcement agencies as necessary, is requested to: (i) assist in the immediate transition of Andrew Warren from the Office of the State Attorney for the 13^th Judicial Circuit of Florida, with access only to retrieve his personal belongings; and (ii) ensure that no files, papers, documents, notes, records, computers, or removable storage media are removed from the Office of the State Attorney for the 13^th Judicial Circuit of Florida or any of his staff.

Awesome.  He didn’t engage in politics or speeches, he took action to remove the excrement.  This is even better than it appears on first glance.  From Ammoland, this guy was also rabidly anti-gun.

On Florida’s Stand Your Ground law: “As we said then, this law protects violent criminals & wastes resources by taking officers off the street and making us try cases twice – and has nothing to do with responsible gun ownership. And it’s slowed down the system, delaying justice for victims and their families.”

On Constitutional Carry: “Don’t let them fool you. This is ‘permitless carry’ – zero limits on who can carry concealed – and has nothing to do w/ the Constitution. This makes our neighborhoods less safe, and law enforcement doesn’t want it. You can’t claim to support cops while supporting this. No sane person thinks the 2nd Amendment protects owning a nuclear weapon, which means we recognize the Constitution clearly permits reasonable regulations on right to bear arms. The only issue is whether it’s reasonable to require permits to conceal – and it definitely is.”

On Modern Sporting Rifles: “Another mass shooting using a military-style assault rifle that has no place in our society. Another opportunity for us to do something. Another inevitable disappointment by our elected ‘leaders.’ And another difficult conversation with my children about their safety.”

On Florida’s preemption statute: “Who in Tallahassee is more hypocritical – extreme pro-lifers who oppose common sense gun laws that save lives, or so-called conservatives who profess local control but routinely bind cities & counties from solving local problems?”

So he’s gone now.  Good for DeSantis, a man of action.  Well, bye – you jerk.  Don’t come back.

Now, the law they’re citing does indeed require gun stores to report all denied NICS checks. This is one of those things that few people really have an issue with in the grand scheme of things. After all, a denied check is grounds to at least see if the individual in question is a criminal trying to commit an illegal act.

If it’s not, then hopefully whatever led to the denial can be fixed.

But as the letter notes, the ATF is demanding contact information for delayed NICS checks.

For the uninitiated, this may make perfect sense. After all, we don’t know if those delayed checks are criminals trying to buy guns or not.

The ATF shouldn’t exist at all, in any form, yet in this, we are supposed to put our hope? That’s laughable. I’m one of the “few” that has a huge problem with this! Hope in government is the very definition of the Idolatry of State worship.

Sportsmen and women across the United States are facing yet another misguided threat from the government, and it’s one we’ve all seen before: a proposal to ban lead ammunition.

In early June, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service announced its proposed 2022-2023 Hunt Fish Rule. The FWS’s annual rulemaking usually benefits hunters and anglers by opening new species, acres, and hours on National Wildlife Refuges. But this year’s proposal includes an entirely unwelcome aspect: the immediate restriction or phaseout of the use of lead ammunition on National Wildlife Refuges. The proposed rule comes amid a nationwide ammunition shortage and would have serious consequences on the ability to hunt on public lands, as well as the primary source of conservation funding in the U.S.

Anti-lead activists attempt to sell the narrative that alternatives to lead ammunition are “easily accessible to hunters” and “cheaper to buy.” This could not be further from the truth. In fact, manufacturing traditional lead-based ammunition has shown to be a much simpler process than using alternatives like copper and is far more cost-efficient.

In 2021, the Congressional Sportsmen Foundation conducted research into the price of lead ammunition versus nonlead ammunition in Maine amid a state legislature debate over a lead ammunition ban bill. The result, when sampling the ammunition calibers most popular among deer and bear hunters, was that “non-lead ammunition was, on average, 59% more expensive than lead options.” In addition, there are simply no viable nonlead alternatives for some calibers, most notably .22 ammunition used for hunting small game.

Traditional ammunition means that everyday hunters have one less major cost to worry about to enjoy the sport they love. Under the proposed rule, however, steep prices for nonlead forms of ammunition would be of concern and potentially a reason to stay home instead of going afield during the upcoming hunting seasons. The problem is even more acute during the current national ammunition shortage that is keeping many hunters from being able to buy even traditional ammunition.

Perhaps the greatest concern is the limited scientific support for this proposal. The USFWS cites no studies or data in the proposed rule, and even anti-lead activists can point to no studies that show the use of traditional ammunition causes population-level impacts on wildlife or the environment. There is simply no scientific support for an across-the-board ban on traditional ammunition — especially considering the consequences of shutting down hunter access to federal lands and forcing a significant decline in conservation funding.

There doesn’t have to be a scientific basis for the rule.  This is what controllers do.

They worship the creature (and creation) rather than the creator.  The next sacrifice to Baal is what they’re after, regardless of the basis.  Baal isn’t alive, so he didn’t tell them to do this.  But they may be listening to the voices in their head, or worse, agents of evil.

What did you expect from this administration.

I’m not sure how much hunting occurs on National Wildlife Refuges, or whether this includes National Forests, National Wilderness, or what.

This won’t stop manufacturers of lead ammunition, but look for some national law to eventually slime its way out from the halls of Congress.  This is just the first salvo.

They’ve always wanted the ammunition.  It’s easier than going after firearms.

Anti-gunners have found another way to crack down on so-called “assault weapons.”

Rep. Don Beyer has introduced a bill in the House (HR 8051) that will impose a 1,000% FEDERAL TAX on a vast number of semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns – and every magazine holding more than ten rounds.

Beyer claims this tax could be passed with JUST 50 votes in the Senate through reconciliation, with Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote.

At a time when Americans are getting crushed by Biden’s economy, a 1,000% tax on so-called “assault weapons” would essentially be a backdoor ban on commonly-owned firearms and magazines.

Yet Beyer even admits that his tax is not really about raising federal revenue, but “creating a pathway to pass a new restriction on assault weapons with a simple majority in the Senate.”

Anti-gunners have now given themselves two possible paths in the Senate to crack down on magazines and firearms that millions of Americans own:

1. Last week’s House bill that outright BANS so-called “assault weapons” and “large capacity” magazines.
2. The new House bill that places a 1,000% tax on those same “assault weapons” – and magazines holding more than ten rounds – to make them too unaffordable for ownership.

The fanatical anti-gun Senator, Elizabeth Warren, is already backing Beyer’s bill in the Senate.

Warren said she wants to “use every tool available” to make it impossible for the public to acquire “assault weapons” – “and that includes taxes.”

In fact, Warren said she wants to make it impossible for people to buy “weapons that are used for murdering people.”

The controllers never sleep.  When the senators are out grooming children and spending your hard-earned money, they leave behind a lawyer to write their wickedness for them in the middle of the night so that they can vote on it to see what’s in it.

WASHINGTON, DC (June 30, 2022) – Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced today that the United States Supreme Court has granted, vacated, and remanded its Bianchi v. Frosh lawsuit, which challenges Maryland’s ban on so-called “assault weapons.” The case will now return to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals “for further consideration in light of New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen.”

“This is an important moment,” said FPC Policy Counsel Matthew Larosiere. “We have suffered at the hands of government actors who felt empowered by a lack of clear standards from the Supreme Court. All too often, horrible restrictions which threaten jail time for simply owning a common type of arm–one the people have an undeniable right to–were allowed to stand. This case presents one of the first opportunities to give force to our right to these common firearms, and we intend to see it through.”

The case was sent back to the lower court in light of Bruen. This is good reporting; TGF has included links to case documents and other links perhaps of interest to the case.

After congress let Reagan’s ASW ban expire during Bush Jr’s administration, I bought an “Assualt Weapon” in Maryland. There was a three-day waiting list. And get this: The county police showed up during that three days to inspect the weapon. I was young and very ignorant, but that was the local ‘law’ back then. This databasing of weapons has been ongoing for decades. Fill out 4473s if you want to, but keep in mind that: “wise a serpent, harmless as a dove” (Matthew 10:16) would indicate prudence in these matters. For the record, I no longer reside in MD nor have the weapon.

Republican Chris Jacobs (NY): “I strongly support the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense and have a record of doing so,” Jacobs said. “What I do not support is easy access to high-powered semiautomatic weapons and large capacity magazines that have time and time again resulted in mass casualty shootings.”

Frankly it’s incredible that anyone would say such a thing.  It’s like admitting that you don’t care anymore about lying to your constituency.  You’re willing to admit it, and be so brazen that you’re willing to tell the lie again and then admit that you’re a liar in front of everybody.

It’s like telling your wife you love her and you’ll be home right after meeting your girlfriend in the hotel down the road.  You’ll even bring flowers.

But some people are willing to sustain the abuse time and again.

I put him in the same category as an adulterer.
