Beretta Versus Ruger
BY Herschel SmithI don’t think Beretta trash-talking Ruger is the way to win friends and influence people, regardless of how corporations do it in Europe.
I like Ruger. I also like Beretta. I hope this passes away without harm to either company, branding, financial or otherwise.
And I’m not sure why any gun manufacturer would believe that you don’t need a slide release.

Beretta needs to stay in their lane and leave Ruger alone. There should be some sort of law to prevent foreigners from purchasing controlling interest in American arms makers. We saw what happened to S&W when the Brits used to own them, and Colt isn’t doing so hot with CZ having bought them. According to two people I know who have recently purchased new 1911’s, the QC has gone into the crapper. Ruger has their issues, but they always get them worked out.
