Gun Control Is Coming To Virginia

6 years, 2 months ago

AP:

The win will give Democrats control of the legislature and governorship for the first time in 26 years. Democrats have pledged to pass new gun restrictions and raise the minimum wage once in power.

It’s going to happen most places in America.  This is just the first wave.  It’s a shame, really.

I know good people in Virginia, in the mountainous areas, around Damascus, where they can barely contain their animosity for the progressive policies in Northern Virginia.

But here we are.  The “Army of Northern Virginia” is now a bunch of nanny state controllers who want to implement communism.

I’m sorry to my readers in Virginia.

Michael Flynn Was Set Up By The Deep State

6 years, 2 months ago

Washington Examiner.

With her filing of a blistering Motion to Compel against federal prosecutors in the Michael Flynn case just made public, Sidney Powell has upended my adherence to Hanlon’s Razor. Powell is the attorney for former national security adviser and retired Army Lt. Gen. Flynn, who pled guilty to one count of lying to FBI agents during the special counsel investigation. Powell’s motion seeks to unravel a case many feel was biased from its inception.

One of the most damning charges contained within Powell’s 37-page court brief is that Page, the DOJ lawyer assigned to the office of then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, may have materially altered Flynn’s interview FD-302, which was drafted by Strzok. FBI agents transfer handwritten interview notes onto a formal testimonial document, FD-302, within five days of conducting an interview, while recollections are still fresh.

It is unheard of for someone not actually on the interview itself to materially alter an FD-302. As an FBI agent, no one in my chain of command ever directed me to alter consequential wording. And as a longtime FBI supervisor, I never ever directed an agent to recollect something different from what they discerned during an interview. Returning a 302 for errors in grammar, punctuation, or syntax is appropriate. This occurs before the document is ultimately uploaded to a particular file, conjoined with the original interview notes which are safely secured inside a 1-A envelope, and secured as part of evidence at trial.

With this in mind, this related text message exchange from Strzok to Page dated Feb. 10, 2017, nauseated me:

“I made your edits and sent them to Joe. I also emailed you an updated 302. I’m not asking you to edit it this weekend, I just wanted to send it to you.”

But guess what?  The FBI (ahem) “lost” the original Michael Flynn 302 report.  That’s right.  Lost it.

One of my biggest gripes with Donald Trump is his tendency to throw people under the bus who seem like a handicap to him and his goals.  The moral compass of a man can always be determined by how he treats others to whom he has bonded himself.  If a man cannot honor verbal covenants he has made with others, he simply cannot be trusted with anything.

I said it back when the idiots from reddit/TheDonald were screaming to sack Flynn.  The attack on Michael Flynn was a hit job by the deep state.  Michael Flynn knew the dirty secrets of the deep state, and they couldn’t allow him to be around Trump telling him all about their nefarious deeds.

And then today there is this.

Joining Powell on “Maria Bartiromo’s Insiders” was Lee Smith, author of the new book, “The Plot Against the President,” who reported that Flynn was looking into potential misconduct in the U.S. intelligence community.

[ … ]

Additionally, Powell repeated allegations that the government worked to entrap Flynn.

“They literally planned and strategized about how to interview General Flynn to keep him relaxed and unguarded at the highest levels of the FBI… Strzok and McCabe met many times to plan it,” she alleged. “It was a high-level meeting to calculate and strategize about how to go about that interview to keep him unguarded and without knowing that he was the target of a criminal investigation.”

They’re telling you the same thing I told you months ago, and if you read TCJ, you’ll hear it first.

He knew all about the nefarious deeds of the deep state.  He was in a position to shine light on the deep state.  To the deep state, he was a danger they couldn’t suffer.  So the FBI lied, altered his testimony, and conspired to frame him.  As a consequence, he has almost bankrupted himself with legal costs.

Reminder: Don’t ever trust the FedGov for or with anything.

Michael Flynn is a decent man.  Of all the people Trump needs around him now, Michael Flynn would be at the top of the list.  The fact that Pence was instrumental in his sacking makes me distrust Pence to the point that I will never vote for him, not even for dog catcher.

Control The Ammunition

6 years, 2 months ago

Hartford Courant.

A better solution here, where the National Rifle Association is so influential, would be to render illicit firearms useless.

It is not as insurmountable as it might appear.

Today, one can walk into a gun shop and purchase, for instance, a .22, .38 or .44-caliber handgun. Most firearms are built to accommodate one size round only. Here’s what would happen if the manufacture of today’s standard-size rounds were outlawed, and .21, .37, or .43-caliber rounds took their place: Eventually, gun owners would run out of the old ammo, and their weapons would become paperweights.

We’d have the opportunity for a national gun policy do-over. New, tougher gun registration and ownership policies, some already favored by NRA membership, would be enacted in conjunction with the changeover in rounds calibration. Fresh attention could be paid to newer, research-vetted strategies, such as the universal adoption of smart-gun technology and limiting the size of rounds available to civilians. Police and military would keep their current firearms and ammuntion, manufactured and distributed under strictest control.

To use the recalibrated rounds, people would have to purchase new weapons to fire them. Many would object. Why should a law-abiding citizen spend hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars to replace one’s gun collection?

Gun manufacturers could offer a six-month window for any person eligible to turn in their old weapons and receive a partial rebate toward the purchase of new ones. For manufacturers and retailers, these sales would amount to a windfall of epic proportions.

We’ve discussed it many times before, but make sure your logistics considers such exigencies.  Controllers are always looking for more ways and more things to control.  It’s what they do, it’s who they are down deep in their soul.

AR-15 Gas System Maintenance

6 years, 2 months ago

Shooting Illustrated.

Direct-impingement (DI) gas tubes—such as those used on most AR platforms—should be checked periodically to ensure the hardware that secures them is present and tightly fitted. If you can access that area, removing the roll pin (or screw) will allow you to inspect the forward end of the gas tube for any cracks where the pin passes through. This is not a frequent check, but it is worth doing anytime you remove a gas tube. Any cracking around the pin hole requires replacement of the tube. Remember to re-pin the gas tube after reinserting it into the block.

Gas tubes benefit from periodic internal cleaning, too. Short, large-diameter AK- and SKS-style gas tubes can be scrubbed out with an appropriately sized brush and solvent, then swabbed dry with a clean, lint-free rag. Ensure that the locking cam that holds your gas tube in place remains fully engaged when assembled and that the tube itself is not badly dented or misshapen.

AR-type tubes can be cleaned out with long, purpose-made pipe cleaners and some bore solvent or a .063- to .076-diameter spring wire. You can do this from inside the upper receiver, eliminating the excuse of not wanting to remove the gas tube. Judging by past comments I have received on this subject previously, the concept of cleaning gas tubes is taboo in some circles. As long as you do not stick something in there that will get stuck (like the end of a cotton swab) cleaning it out is both acceptable and recommended. Use a flashlight if the dark space scares you. Just clean it out and move along, little fella. Check gas-tube ends for damage from moving parts, such as bolt-carrier keys or locking cams. Replace the tube if it has been beaten up in this area.

I’ve never cleaned gas tubes, and I’d like some gunsmiths to weigh in with their experience with this.  Is this really necessary?  The gas velocity in the tube is extremely high.

Pregnant Mother With AR-15 Saves Family From Two Armed Intruders

6 years, 2 months ago

What does Mr. Stephen Bayezes and a pregnant woman in Florida have in common?

Here’s another report.

One man is dead after a husband and wife said two men broke into their home and made demands, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

“They came in heavily hooded and masked,” homeowner Jeremy King told Bay News 9. “As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter.”

That’s when they began pistol-whipping him and demanding money, King said.

“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” he said, outside his home about 20 miles southeast of Tampa. “I took a severe beating.”

King’s wife, who’s 8 months pregnant, peeked out of a back bedroom during the commotion to see what was going on, according to King.

One of the men saw her and fired off a shot, he said. She closed the door and grabbed the family’s AR-15.

“During that incident, the female homeowner retrieved a firearm, which was in the house legally, and fired one round which struck the male victim, who was (found) deceased in the ditch,” said Maj. Frank Losat with the sheriff’s office.

The other suspect fled, and deputies are still looking for him.

“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” King said. “(My wife) evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”

I’ll decide how best to defend home and hearth, thank you very much.

Coming Soon To A Neighborhood Near You

PJM.

While leftists continue to deny that border control is a national security issue, on Tuesday, a Muslim migrant from Jordan named Moayad Heider Mohammad Aldairi was sentenced to three years in prison for sneaking at least six Yemeni Muslims into the United States across the border from Mexico. What could they possibly have been planning? No doubt they just wanted to do the jobs that Americans refuse to take, right?

These are by no means the first Muslims to have been caught crossing into the U.S. from Mexico. Judicial Watch reported back in 2016 that police in a New Mexico border town arrested a woman they described as an “Islamic refugee” who was “in possession of the region’s gas pipeline plans.” This was, it said, the latest in “a number of stories in the last few years about Mexican drug traffickers smuggling Islamic terrorists into the United States through the porous southern border…. A few months ago Judicial Watch reported that members of a cell of Islamic terrorists stationed in Mexico cross into the U.S. to explore targets for future attacks with the help of Mexican drug traffickers.”

[ … ]

Among the jihadists that travel back and forth through the porous southern border is a Kuwaiti named Shaykh Mahmood Omar Khabir, an ISIS operative who lives in the Mexican state of Chihuahua not far from El Paso, Texas. Khabir trained hundreds of Al Qaeda fighters in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen and has lived in Mexico for more than a year, according to Judicial Watch’s high-level Homeland Security sources. Now Khabir trains thousands of men—mostly Syrians and Yemenis—to fight in an ISIS base situated in the Mexico-U.S. border region near Ciudad Juárez. Khabir actually brags in a European newspaper article about how easy it is to stake out American targets because the border region is wide open.

It all mates well with the larger plan by the globalists to wreak chaos in America, leading ultimately to a totalitarian state and control by the global elitists.

Be prepared as best as you can.

Homemade Firearms And Prohibition

6 years, 2 months ago

News from the Northwest.

Law enforcement reviewed surveillance video and observed a man, later identified as Huricks, walk into the store and steal a pack of cigarettes during the first investigation. The video captured Huricks leaving the store. As he did, the clerk grabbed a baseball bat and went to the front door. Cameras from the store’s exterior captured Huricks, while outside, pointing what appeared to be a firearm at the front door, according to the district attorney’s office.

[ … ]

The Oregon State Police Crime Laboratory determined the homemade firearm seized was capable of being a deadly weapon.

And see there, that’s one more reason gun control will never work.  Prohibition never works.  Ask the boys from the hills in Franklin County, Virginia, about that.

Gun Confiscations? Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

Silliness.

“They should not tell everything they’re going to do. If you’re going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected — then take the guns away,” she said. “Don’t tell them ahead of time.”

Oh, is that how it works?  Hey, I’ve got news for you, cat-lady.  That horse left the barn decades ago.  We all know by now.

Go back to your cat-lady stuff.
