Deploying the Marines for Riot Control

For those who follow me on X, up until now I’ve just been insistent that they don’t deploy the Marines unless arming orders are issued.
Call me old fashioned, but personally I’m a big fan of peace officers and the Posse, and when more is needed, the unorganized militia. And shooting horse thieves and home invaders.
The problem with the unorganized militia is that it relies on a legitimate government to call it up, unless it self-mobilizes under its officers. You know there is militia in neighboring states that could mobilize quickly.
We’re here because of illegitimate government, and because America no longer believes in the Posse and the Militia.
Well, they're sporting pump action shotguns. I'd rather have a Benelli M4 or Beretta 1301 but whatever. I do wonder if those pouches have bean bags in them or what? What will they be shooting? Maybe pump action because bean bags won't work so well to cycle gas or inertia guns.

They are probably loaded with rubber slugs. When I went on some riot details when in the Border Patrol, we used rubber slugs. They really hurt!

Dozens upon dozens of protests dovetailing with those in LA are planned across the country, in states as far afield as Alaska.
The Blue Sky social network online – a favorite gathering place for leftist causes – is running ads seeking, “the toughest all-round bad asses in the city” (meaning Los Angeles). and elsewhere, stating that the positions pay $6500-12500/week. So we know paid participants are taking part and that “Astro-turfing” is going on.
Why would the organizers of this undertaking be looking for such tough guys, if they didn’t have some sort of trouble in mind?
Noted analyst and former Navy SEAL Matt Bracken has said that this operation may herald the start of what he terms “Civil War 2.0” and he may be right.
It looks as if the left is preparing to cross some sort of Rubicon from which there will be no turning back….

Pretty much, because they have no other choice.
The Left cannot exist, at least not in its present form, without access to lots and lots of taxpayer dollars and supporting federal bureaucracies. Trump and DOGE are cutting off their funding – although much more slowly than most of us would like – and reducing the bureaucratic headcount that provides “free” support for their causes. Not to mention, the political stirrings which go beyond the money; several quarters have recommended all 3rd world immigration, – illegal and legal – be stopped, and many are now strongly questioning the wisdom of permitting government employee unionization, starting with the education unions, the dues of which are a huge funding source for the left, as well as one of the contributors of educational decline in the U.S. Deportation of 2030 census headcount is also a factor because that will strip blue states of representatives, and there’s now serious discussion afoot regarding changing census rules to count only citizens, not warm bodies.
This, for them, really is the Rubicon, so they have no choice but to go for broke. Turning public opinion strongly against Trump’s actions is the only hope they have of stopping it. Unfortunately for them, the overwhelming majority of Americans asked for what Trump is doing, and asked for it repeatedly over the years.
That, and for some unknown reason, rioting, destruction and Mexican flags doesn’t seem to be the widely uniting anti-Trump civic activity some believed it to be.
