The FBI’s first-generation CARNIVORE was watching the Usenet back in the 1980s. And they moved right along when the “web” thing became popular. And the’ve been issuing RFPs for improved web site and “social media” tools since the 20th century.
People running around panicking is hilarious; the FBI has been doing this for THIRTY YEARS and nobody paid any attention. That ship sailed ages ago.

And here’s another red flag case: https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2019/08/an-ex-marine-said-hed-slaughter-antifa-the-fbi-using-oregons-new-red-flag-law-took-his-guns-away.html
Not a red flag case, but things like this will undoubtedly lead to red flag cases. https://pagetwo.completecolorado.com/2019/08/28/loveland-school-suspends-teen-over-family-gun-outing-pics-on-social-media/
Why people insist on being on social media is beyond me.
