Four LEOs Killed in Charlotte

After a shooting in Charlotte killed four law enforcement officers and injured four of their colleagues, President Joe Biden called on Congress to pass tougher gun regulations. “We must do more to protect our law enforcement officers,” Biden said in a statement that came late Monday night. “ He first called for more funding directed to law enforcement. Then, he narrowed his focus in on guns.

“Leaders in Congress need to step up so that we ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, require safe storage of guns, and pass universal background checks and a national red flag law,” Biden said. “Enough is enough.” An AR-15 and an .40 caliber handgun were both found following the shooting, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings, during a news conference Tuesday.

None of which would have had the slightest affect on the incident. Not a single bit.

Why? Because they were felons in possession of firearms. That was the reason for the raid to begin with.

Here’s a much better idea. Stop police raids. Just stop them. Don’t do them any more.

Sit and wait for them to leave the home, and then arrest them after a traffic stop.

Stop police raids. Nothing good ever comes from them. Innocent people get killed, guilty people get killed, LEOs get killed. Someone always gets killed.

This is not supposed to be MOUT in Iraq and LEOs are not supposed to be assaulters.

Our founders tried to make sure of that.

A republic – if you can keep it.

David Koresh nods head of approval. Mount Carmel incinerations did not have to occur. Arresting Koresh while leaving the compound would have been much easier.

Watching the videos of the encounter (very limited), one gets the impression lots of money spent on equipment and not much spent on training for the government enforcers.

The enforcers for the most part have not encountered “high-line” gangs nor groups of former soldiers who either take up crime or in the future, other tasks, who know how to shoot, move and communicate and are skilled in fire team/squad “fire and maneuver” in platoon strength to advance on static defenders and liquidate them.

These are looming possibilities from domestic cells that can wake up tomorrow morning and spontaneously lay siege to the country in a coordinated cross-country rising attack as described by Kurt Schlichter in “The Attack”.

The government domestic police agencies (all 19k of the departments) are not equipped mentally or tactically. I can’t say it gives me the vapors.

Again, all the gear in the world but if you can’t “drive” the gear, you will just be a lucrative loot drop as your body cools.

Marshals’ task forces are made up of various agencies. Many are not trained in serving high risk warrants. It would have been better for the SWAT team to do a surround and talk the guy(s) out.
Certainly would have been a safer approach.

Why can’t felons have guns? If they’re loose they must have already paid restitution in full for their crimes? The US criminal justice system is a racquet, that’s the real problem, not guns.

    @PGF,

You know my position on incarceration.

If the crime is a capital offense, execute the perp. If not, it’s a crime against a person (e.g., theft). In that case, the perp should be enslaved to the victim until restitution is paid three-fold and then they get released.

This is the Biblical approach. I don’t believe in incarceration for rehabilitative purposes.

    You’re right. It’s all a racquet.

Everybody knows that when the Cops come, you lay down on the ground, whimper, expose belly, piss on self, and hope for the best. If they shoot at you, its because you weren’t submissive enough. Submit harder!

Need you be reminded, a Cop’s life is infinitely more valuable than yours?

How dare you all question your Betters?

I’ve said more than once that cops should go home every night and thank God for dumb criminals and law abiding combat Veterans.

I still think, had Jose Guerena (sp?) in Tucson, AZ not hesitated when the sheriff’s SWAT team wrongfully raided his home, there would have been a huge body count. He heard someone outside his house just after he got home from a 12 hrs shift working in the mine and the Marine combat Veteran took up a position in his front hallway, prone with his AR-15 covering the door, as there had been home invasion gangs pretending to be cops hitting houses in his neighborhood. When he saw it was actually cops, he didn’t do anything as they came through the door. But the cops lit him up when they saw his rifle.

I pray that the wicked policy of pre-dawn home raids and no-knock warrants will end. It has only worked thus far because LE seem to prefer that tactic with the compliant.

Yesterday the media was going on about the funeral procession, blocking traffic, and what not. They put those door kicking orcs on a pedestal. Sickening. They obviously like the taste of the jackboot they’re licking.

If I were on a jury for someone accused of killing a cop, I don’t think I could convict them at this point. The system is so corrupt and they’re nothing but thug enforcers for the politicians.

    Serve and protect, my backside.
