I checked with Cloud Defensive because I didn’t have a URL for this and they responded that they had indeed issued this statement over their Instagram account (I don’t have an account at Instagram).

Really want to buy something from them now, but holy cow that stuff is pricey. I’m sure it’s worth it, but I’m way more 30-30 Winchester deer hunter than I am tricked out AR operator. Still, I’ll keep checking their site and see if there’s something I’ll actually use.
Barrett refused to sell .50 caliber rifles to California LE when they were banned for Civilians to own. AFAIK, Barrett won’t even repair the ones they already have.
Just bought a REIN light just because of this. I was in the market for my first weapon light and I remembered this news, and it made the decision easy. Good on you Cloud Defense.
