Grizzly bear takes shotgun blast at point-blank range and keeps charging
BY Herschel SmithI would rather never be in a position like this. That bear closed fast and had ill intentions.

Our Intrepid Hero went out to scare away a grizzly bear with a 2 barreled shotgun loaded with birdshot. He fired the first round away from the bear to scare her. When the bear took offense at this, he intentionally fired his last round at the side of the bear so as to not kill it. I count three near-fatal decisions, not mistakes. He did this on purpose, almost terminally underestimating his opponent.
I have fired a warning shot to scare a grizzly, but I had a pump loaded with 6 more rounds of slugs and buckshot, and so did my partner.

But…but…bears are so cuddly. I’ve seen them in Coca-Cola commercials and Winnie the Pooh books. And, my God, man, they were here first!!!
That jackass was about this -ll- close to becoming bear shit. FFS…
Where did that evil idea of *firing a warning shot* ever come from?
Milton – carrying a double gun and firing warning shots = advice from Joe Biden.
Why is someone living in bear country armed with a double-barrel shotgun loaded with birdshot? Is this some sort of Darwin Test?
Sure, some people living in apartments in urban areas choose birdshot because it will shred a burglar on the other side of the bedroom, but won’t penetrate the next five walls. However, to live in bear country armed with a firearm and a load like this makes no sense at all to me unless, of course, poverty is the excuse.

“unless, of course, poverty is the excuse.”
Stupidity is the excuse. He literally charged the bear bear first, a sow with cubs! His double shotgun is like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Perhaps bear spray next time?
If he lived in Alaska, we’d deport him.
