Joe Manchin On Red Flag Laws
BY Herschel Smith1 year, 11 months ago
“I never thought I had a need for that type of hyper-high-capacity automatic weapon. I like to shoot, I like to go out and hunt. I like to go out sport shooting. I do all that. But I’ve never felt I needed something of that magnitude,” he said.

Manchin said that red flag laws “do work as long as there is due process.”
That’s the whole point, Joe.
Red flag laws are themselves a violation of due process. You can’t pick up the broken glass and make it okay.

Nothing like a 5AM visit from the SWAT guys with their secret warrant from an unnamed judge based on a complaint from an unnamed and deeply aggrieved liberal paranoid.
Go ahead. Pass the bill. I’ll give Democrats about 2 and a half minutes before they start making anonymous phone calls to the cops about Marjorie Taylor Greene. I’ll probably be next.

So, NEED is the justification, is it? If you FELT like you NEEDED and AR type rifle with standard magazines, then it would be ok for you to have one. Yes we all see it. The problem is not with YOU, it’s all them other people out there who aren’t… you.
Clearly, like a good collectivist, you’ve decided for every person in the country what they NEED and what the don’t NEED. You don’t FEEL like they NEED to.
Right?

Joe, YOU may not see the need, but you live a very protected, priveleged life. The rest of us live with the dangerous conditions you and your fellow dems created. Therefore, even though I may not own one at the moment, I fully support those that want to, and do.
