For the love of God, stop fantasizing about a war between US citizens and their military

BY Herschel Smith

Source.

After the writer begs and begs and begs people to stop pretending war with the FedGov over guns, because no one can beat the U.S. military, but everything will be destroyed after the military has razed cities to the ground, there’s just one thing missing from this silly missive.

A warning to Congress to stop fantasizing about confiscating guns.

See how he did that?

See how easy that was?

The U.S. government, as one former military man put, may not be good at much, but it is very, very good indeed at “breaking things and killing people,” which is soldier-speak for what combat soldiers do.

Civil wars are also the ugliest and most-bloody of conflicts. All war is ugly, savage and inhuman by definition, but civil wars are often the very worst of all. No sane person ought to wish for such a calamity to befell this country. That is especially the case because, all things considered, the United States is the most-heavily-armed nation in history, and the one with the most power to do damage to others. The Russians and the Chinese are no slouches, either, but we probably win that dubious honor.

If you are a praying man, a person who believes in the power of prayer, say one for peace tonight. Humanity can use all of the help it can get. We’re closer to the edge of that particular precipice since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962, and that doesn’t even deal with the domestic situation.

Yes, ‘civil wars’ – what an oxymoron’ are often the worst, and the govt better remember that. Govt stooges and lackeys need to remember it also.
I dont think anyone – no sensible person at least – WANTS a war inside our borders, but many fear it is coming. It won’t be pretty, plus it will provide red china the opportunity they have admitted they are looking for to walk right in. [even tho they are here, in numbers and force -economically and politically – already] But dont think the government and their (((handlers))) arent planning for it.
    Ammo up.

The reality today, imo, is that tptb want division, foment it, stir it up, and will use the escalation by the violent progs/leftists/socialists/commies and the whole blm/antifa crowd to instigate violence against those that simply want to be left alone, and when such folks resist, use that as a prelude to bring in .mil or other foces to “put down the rebellion,” and then it’s on in real time.

When a man has nothing left to lose, then why not go live…

All one has to do is look at civil wars in the 20th century, and what the IRA did to England, at the time, one of the most powerful armies in the world…

Something that I have been wondering about lately…

I believe it is self evident that China would love to possess our land and natural resources, but have no love for Americans. So I am wondering if they launch an EMP strike at some point sooner than later. It would seem to be the best way to ensure that almost all of our infrastructure (save our electrical grid) remains intact; and most EMP experts predict that a staggering number of people (80-90%) would be dead after the first year of an EMP attack due to starvation, disease, and violence.

We would retaliate as we are able-even if our land -based ICBMs were crippled by the EMP (not sure if this would happen- anyone know?) our nuclear sub fleet would not be. China has a demonstrated disregard for its own people, so it may be willing to take the retaliation, it ruling elite being safely squirreled away- or more likely out of he country. But I also think it’s possible that they might be able to persuade a lesser enemy of ours (N Korea, Pakistan, Iran etc.) to actually launch the missile, so China would escape the retaliatory response.

Finally from an eschatological standpoint, it would match the belief held by most Bible prophecy people that the US will be destroyed or neutralized to no effect at some point before Armageddon.

If you examine the historical record, nation-states have a rather mixed, even poor, record fighting against insurgencies and asymmetric rebellions. This is particularly true in the 20th and early 21st centuries.

    @ The Mad Scot

Re: “All one has to do is look at civil wars in the 20th century, and what the IRA did to England, at the time, one of the most powerful armies in the world…”

If memory serves, the hardcore cadres of the IRA who did most of the dirty work during “The Troubles” only numbered about 3,000 people at any given time. That’s all it took to tie down the British Army, one of the most-professional forces in the world at the time.

It must be borne in mind that any assessment of how such an asymmetrical conflict would turn out on U.S. or North American soil, ought to include the fact that the government possesses weapons of mass destruction. While the possession of such weapons might not alter the final outcome, it would make the conflict much more costly in terms of both human lives lost and property/infrastructure destroyed or lost.

Since such a conflict would leave the United States extremely vulnerable to external actors and their designs, every effort must be taken to ensure it does not happen.

    @ luke2236

Going back to the historical record, the probability of success of any government in putting down an uprising is at least somewhat proportional to how draconian and ruthless that government is willing to be to attain its goals. Two examples come to mind…

First, when the Boer Wars broke out in what is today South Africa and its neighbors, the British Empire did badly at first, but eventually won the war due to the extreme measures it was willing to implement. These include forced starvation, the removal of people from their homes and farms and their internment in concentration camps, and other such steps. The Boers were extremely capable fighters, but were compelled to sue for peace due to mass starvation and privation amongst the civilian Boer population, and the successful strangling of their logistics and supply.

Second, the Plains Indian Wars are widely-studied by soldiers and professional military men, for what they have to teach the student about both sides of irregular conflict. Indeed, many of the measures later used by the British in South Africa were lifted from the U.S. government’s experience in that conflict.

Where only the most ruthless are going to survive. And two years into it, is when the Chinese decide we would make a good agri-colony?
This ain’t about gun owners vs military. It’s about realigning world powers. And destroying America is key. And what better way than to have us destroy ourselves.

No, not all of us have forgotten that salient fact. People like John Robb and William Lind – both of whom are acolytes of the late Colonel John Boyd, one of the finest military minds the U.S. has ever produced – have been warning and sounding the alarm for years, decades even, about the danger of importing large numbers of military age males into the West. As Lind once put it, they aren’t “refugees” and they aren’t “immigrants”… they’re soldiers. They may not wear uniforms, but they are still soldiers, enemy combatants.

Your observation fits with the other evidence that 4GW is being staged in the developed world of the West – including the U.S.A.

Thanks to the work of such stalwarts as Steve Emerson and others, it has been known for years now that weapons and gear from the 1990s Balkans civil war have been flowing from SE Europe to the rest of the continent, typically via the criminal underworld and also via the network of mosques across Europe.

Raids on mosques in places like Sweden have disclosed large caches of military-grade weapons, ammunition and other hardware/gear, hidden in them… but nothing ever seems to get done about the problem at the policy-making level, which is yet one more proof that the authorities have been told to turn a blind eye to this problem. So, the grenade attacks on Swedish police stations continue as before….and young women and girls still fear for their safety on the streets of their own country.

Now that huge weapons dumps have been made by the U.S. government in places like Afghanistan and the Ukraine, expect to see some of all of that weaponry, hardware, high-tech gear, ordnance, etc. wind up in the hands of the terrorists and jihadists. Independent investigators have already stated that some of it is already appearing on the dark net, the hidden internet which exists side-by-side with the one we can all see and use, on the websites of known arms dealers.

When/where these multitudes of young fighting age males from the Third World, and these weapons meet up is still yet to be seen, but on the basis of the evidence it seems like only a matter of time before it happens.

And low-level warfare has already started in places like France. Over four hundred churches torched last year, and priests being beheaded inside of their own churches. Now that summer approaches, thousands of cars across France will be destroyed via acts of arson by euphemistically-named “youths” who set fire to them.

That’s no longer a crime problem, but a low-intensity conflict and irregular war.

I feel like everyone is missing a few key points…. For the writer, he assumes the entire civilian populace is untrained, and the US military is trained. Inca sense, yes the US trains it’s military, but nothing prepared me for combat. I had to see it and live it to understand it, and to become disciplined in it. Our military is an entire generation of the “un-initiated”. This is the Gocernments first mistake. They effectively pushed to start forcing out as many of us combat vets as they could. They’re second screw up happened when they filled it’s ranks with sissy boys and allowed females into infantry units. That’s for another discussion, but the point I’m making here is, no in fact, the US military is not a “fine fighting force” the writer claims it to be.
The writer then categorizes civilians into one group essentially “untrained civilians”. Of course there are un-initiated civilians, but as Joe Rogan famously explained it:

“”What is the number of veterans in this
country? I mean, it’s gotta be more than
a million. There are SO many people in
    this country that REALLY understand
violence and they’re not the one’s calling
for violence. They’re not the “punch a
Nazi people”. The people that really
    understand violence, that have seen
    violence, that have committed violence
for their country, those are the
motherfuckers that you break glass in
case of war. You need them and people
    don’t understand that. These people
    running around, calling for violence,
calling for revolution; you are going to
open a door that you can never close.
And when those soldiers come pouring
out of that door to defend what the think
is an attack on their freedoms and their
    country, you’re fucked.“
