Tyranny In Canada

The boy king got his way. The police followed orders – of course – and so the Trudeau regime has demanded that this go to the next phase. They’ve picked a fight. This was an unwise decision.
At Instapundit, this was seen in the comments.
Some people are just slow to learn, but learn they eventually will. Mike Vanderboegh used to call it “losing the mandate of heaven.” The constitutional sheriff and constable is replaced in favor of a standing army to suppress the citizens, whose only goal is to maintain the power of the regime. The main point to be made here is that tyranny is ungodly and an afront to the Almighty and therefore cosmic treason. It is a violation of God’s holy laws. Tyrants attempt to usurp the authority God Himself has over family, church and state (see here work done by Rousas J. Rushdoony) in favor of the great savior of all mankind, whom they want people to believe is the regime. Many people do believe such a thing, but enough people still don’t that it will cause massive problems for the boy king.

What any group of protestors would need to do to get the attention of TPTB, is to start fighting using the same tactics as the other side uses -targeting the people in these groups and their homes and possessions, threatening their families- to make it painful for them to continue. Currently, the intimidation is only in one direction But they are not willing to act this way.
To be clear, I am NOT advocating that they start doing this for several reasons:
1. Any protestor who is a genuine Christian would not be able to justify such actions Scripturally, and would quickly be violating one of God’s laws -“You shall not murder.” That’s neve a good place to be.
2. It would mean that the protestors would need to become as merciless & cruel as the other side; I don’t believe that it would be possible for most of the protestors – who just want to left alone – to act this way for the sustained period of time that would be necessary to make a difference.
3. TPTB will always have more of everything (resources, money, weaponry) than the people, so it’s a losing battle from the start and would only serve to unite in principle if not in action – the non-participating population against the protestors. It would undoubtedly create an intolerable level of civil disorder and anarchy which would be counterproductive to the protestors’ end goal.
4. Even in the very unlikely event that the protestors win, it would be a temporary and pointless victory to those of us who are looking for “the blessed hope, and appearing” of our Savior, instead of trying to create a better world – which Scripture assures us is not going to last.
PS- for all these reasons – mainly #1 and #4 – I will refuse to join any in any protest. However, if either side should bring its violence to my door, I will defend to the death my right to be left alone.
