CAG Mock Hostage Rescue
BY Herschel SmithThis video has apparently been making the rounds. Before we go any further, let me stipulate that I don’t know with certainty if this is really CAG or somebody playing tacticool during weekend at Bubba’s. It is alleged to be CAG. No one in the thread seems to be questioning that, and in fact, they seemed to think it’s pretty cool.
On the other hand, I’m appalled. It looks amateurish and silly. They hop off of a helicopter and clop around like cows for close to half a minute, making as much noise with the machinery and footsteps as possible. The players aren’t alerted to any presence despite the massive noise avalanche, they’re standing still, there are no trip wires to kill the team, they are out in the open with no cover or concealment, and it’s broad daylight.
If this was really a CAG practice mission, I would have expected face paint, no reflective lenses, dark clothing, entry by night along a treeline, use of NODS, and quiet approach to room entry execution that went off in two to three seconds and the rest of the building cleared in under ten seconds.
When my son was in the Marine Corps, including live fire shoot house training, when the training included Marine-on-Marine shooting they used chalk rounds. Those hurt from what I understand.
Why weren’t the actors moving? Why weren’t the actors shooting back with chalk rounds? Why wasn’t this real training rather than a waste of time and gasoline for the helicopter?
So as I stipulated, I don’t know with certainty that this is CAG. It could be weekend at Bubba’s. Somebody who can track this down please tell me this isn’t really CAG?
I’m left scratching my head at this whole thing.

Not impressed at all. ‘Enemies’ that don’t fire back? Ooooh, scaaawy…..
Bubba and his buddies. Approach was asshanded retarded. Hostage would have been dead as soon as the chopper came over the trees, f’ckin wankers man.
Its BS
i WANNA BE an airborne ranger
Nope.
Looks like a bunch of cops playing “Operator!!!”
Read a book several years ago about either Delta or the SEALs. During training on “rescuing” hostages, several hostages always ended up dead along with the “terrorists”. The attitude expressed was “Sucks to be a hostage.”
not a chance – way to slow, ect Seal’s – Sucks to be a hostage
What in the ever living fuck is this bullshytte?
A) Blanks? No, sounds like sub-sub-sub muntions… not even worth consideration. Fookin’ things sound like popcorn. Def NOT simunition…
B) Bunchabullshytte fuck these cockfags.
Nothing Follows Aye?
@Daniel,
Not a chance what? Your comment is too lean to understand what you said.
Seems like people standing around waiting to become targets.
I don’t know, but it looks like amateur Airsoft weekenders.
@Ned. I know.
Where do weekenders get a helicopter?
Looks more like the FBI. LOL
Brad- Nah the FeeBI is even more publicity hungry than the USMC or the SEALS. If it was the Feebs, FBI in giant gold letters would have been plastered on everything.
Chris, Good point. But it sure looks like the FBI’s super rigorous Force on Mannequin training program. LOL.
Not a chance that they are real – it is called violence of action – stage at the entry points, stealth until the go signal, then total overwhelming violent action, very fast entry and takedown of targets – anything resembling a target goes down hard – so fast to save victims, stop a bomb det. ect. mistakes are made, that is why it sucks to be a hostage.
Those people were on a timeline of minutes not seconds, sound of a helo landing that far away hostages or assaulter’s are dead – no warning untill the building, room, ect is breached.
@Daniel,
Yes. Assaulter and hostages BOTH dead.
Horrible example, bad training, bad tactics.
My 2 cents.
