John Piper Speaks For God On The Vaccine

My point is this: Don’t be enslaved by fear of man. Don’t be enslaved by the fear of breaking ranks with ideological allies. The old name for this is peer pressure. You are free.
You have considered the risk of COVID as you watch hundreds of thousands of people die.
You have considered the short- and long-term risks of the vaccines as you watch millions get the shots.
You have compared the frequency of hospitalizations and deaths of those with and without vaccines.
You have thought hard about the implications of fetal cell lines in the production and testing of the vaccines.
You have rejoiced at the increasing evidence that natural immunity, developed after recovering from COVID, is as effective as vaccination immunity.
You have pondered the likelihood and unlikelihood of conspiratorial conjectures.Your conscience is increasingly clear. It says, “Get vaccinated.” But there is this niggling fear of looking left wing, or progressive, or Democratic, or compromised, or woke!
So, my message to such folks is this: “The children are free!”
Yes. It’s just that simple. Don’t worry about the “implications” of the use of aborted babies (he calls them fetal cell lines). The term fetus is Latin for baby. It’s enough to say that you’ve “thought hard” about it.
It’s one thing to say you didn’t know. It’s entirely a different thing to know and say merely that you “thought hard” about it.
I thought hard about it too and came to an utterly different conclusion. I am also free.
My conscience is certainly clear on the subject. Thanks to Herschel pointing #1 out:
#1 The vax is immoral and no Christian should take it.
#2 The vax is bad for you.
I don’t think John Piper thought hard enough about it.
The number of hard science PHD’s and MD’s who dissagree would be to long to list.

Piper has turned into a frightened old man, scared of saying anything that runs counter to the narrative.
I often wonder what the preachers who have bent their knees to government the last 18 months, and are encouraging their flock to do so, will do when government says you can no longer declare Jesus as the only way to reconcile with God and the Gospel is no longer allowed to be presented.
I trust God, not man. I do not fear man for man can only persecute me and kill me.
I do not trust evil people doing evil things on behalf of evil corporations doing evil things on behalf of evil governments doing evil things on behalf of evil rich people.
Jesus warned us about men such as Piper, a man who believes all that the government says. Piper’s use of Scripture to bolster US Government’s policies is the other side of despicable. He calls submitting to the State “a biblically informed act of love.” Orwell would be proud.
Mike A is on target, Piper uses the Word in an eisegetical manner to suggest that a Christian should submit and take the shot.
As an example his use of 1 Corinthians 3: 21-23 takes on a different meaning when verses 18-23 are applied.
Matthew Henry says it best:
“To have a high opinion of our own wisdom, is but to flatter ourselves; and self-flattery is the next step to self-deceit. The wisdom that wordly men esteem, is foolishness with God. How justly does he despise, and how easily can he baffle and confound it! The thoughts of the wisest men in the world, have vanity, weakness, and folly in them. All this should teach us to be humble, and make us willing to be taught of God, so as not to be led away, by pretences to human wisdom and skill, from the simple truths revealed by Christ.”
Then at the end of his essay he applies peer pressure using his standing amongst Christians exhorting them to submit to the jab.
What is hard thought for a Christian? Is it to weigh all the aspects of a situation against each other? Is it to weigh them against your own desires? Against your own “values?” Against the system that runs this world? Against personal gain? No, hard thought for a Christian is to weigh all aspects against sin and righteousness, not of our own conscience, but as specified in the totality of the teachings of Holy God in His bible. “Love not the world, neither things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever” 1 John 2:15-17 My conscience and yours is no place to determine right from wrong. All the day long you sin against Holy God with your wants and needs attempting to fulfill your own righteousness. That passage outlines the exact manner by which satan tempted Eve and Adam with her. And it’s also the manner in which that wicked unholy devil tempted our Lord in the wilderness. Your eyes see things, your body has needs, and your conscience constantly desires to exalt itself above measure. You are not fit in any way to determine what’s good and bad, otherwise the works of your own righteousness could exalt your very soul into eternal life. “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” 1 Corinthians 15:31 “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Romans 8 :36 “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:24-25 We have a better covenant. I’m certainly glad I don’t have to go to Jerusalem to sacrifice bulls and goats. But what your mamby pamby fake church won’t tell you is that YOU are now made the sacrifice. It’s not an easier covenant. It’s better because you can know God through His Son Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit of God living in you by which you enter into eternal life according to the love and mercy and grace and kindness of God Almighty. You are the temple, your body and your conscience with it, are the sacrifice. Only your spirit will be left to be dealt with by God upon your death. Mr. Gary is quite obviously a man who studies his holy Bible.
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14
So how is it that one can discern good and evil? By studying your Holy Bible like your life depends upon it. This exercises the the (spiritual) senses of the believer by the Holy Spirit revealing and illuminating the word of God while you read and study as He makes proper application.
I tell new and other infant Christians that the reading and study of God’s word is paramount to growth in Christ. I further explain that they must take no man at his word for what the bible teaches but search the scriptures daily as to whether these things are true. (Acts 17:11)
Every believer runs the serious risk of becoming a permanent infant in Christ always needing the word of God explained as though fed to them as milk to a babe. Yes it’s precious milk, but milk just the same. By needing the word of God explained to you by others, including bible commentary, you can be led astray into all manner of error in instruction and doctrine and sin and righteousness.
This is what Piper, an obvious wolf, is doing. He’s leading the ignorant into falsehood. His motives aside, I think we’ve covered them well, he is causing real harm to the children of God that having refused to grow now remain in their ignorance of the knowledge of Christ. The infant remains easy pickins for a worker of inequity to cut from the fold of Christ’s flock.
There are great many verses to cite about failure to know scripture as the main way to go, or be led, astray. Jesus himself states it plenty.
Study your Holy Bible like your life depends on it, because it does.

Ned, I wept when I read this article, and many still think God can bless this nation, I rather think He has us under judgement.
Gary – 100%. John Piper obviously grew up with murdering the unborn being a “medical procedure” and nothing else, as far as he’s concerned.
