We’ll See What The States Are Made Of Now

BY Herschel Smith

Well, well, well.

You’ve all heard the claptrap from the pretender president.  I won’t repeat it here.

So Governor Henry McMaster (who recently approved open carry in South Carolina, to my approval), said “We will fight Biden to the gates of hell to protect liberty.”

So have other governors, mostly.  Texas is in the mix.  Idaho … eh, not so much.  You folks there in Idaho have a problem on your hands.  Northern redoubt … maybe not so much.  Do something to impress me, like voting for a good man for governor.

So let’s see how this all pans out.  It will be interesting, yes?

Unfortunately, I don’t expect much from Utah’s governor either.

One of the, supposedly, “most conservative” states in the nation always elects governors who are more-than-willing to bend over for the federal government.

Regardless, I won’t be getting the jab, even if it costs me my job.

Wait…no preemptive surrender? Are we sure that guy is really a Republican?

The threat of withholding federal funds only works as long as there are federal funds worth anything to withhold. The economic house of cards that has been built tall is swaying from the wind of overwhelming federal debt.
States may as well get the party started to survive without income from the broken and corrupt national government.

@MN Steel Thank you. Once I wipe up the coffee that one will carry me through the weekend better than a Flounder quote from “Animal House.”

Sure glad my wife and I discussed this and started making preparations early this year. We are not getting the jab.. It is much easier to have rational discussions and draw your line in the sand BEFORE the gun is placed to your head. The majority of the sheeple will be like East Berliners before the wall went up or the Jews when Hilary, oops…I meant Hitler took over. They won’t realize they are in a cage until the gate shuts and is locked behind them. History doesn’t repeat. IT IS REPEATING! Hang in there Herschel. The tech fascists will be coming for your site very, very soon.

That was more for me and the other readers who have been here for years. Your perspective and thoughtful analysis is an oasis in the intellectually barren media landscape. Now more than ever we need independant voices. I am selfish. I like my “Journal” escape…..

Executive Orders are instructions from the President to the employees of the Executive Branch. They are NOT instructions to non-employees of the Executive Branch. If they were, we would call them ‘laws’, but Presidents cannot make laws; only Congress can make laws.

All that’s needed if for one state to file suit (in SCOTUS which has original jurisdiction), and the entire thing blows away, if not for the reason above, then under the provisions of the Tenth amendment.

    I’m not worried.

Our Governor in Idaho is worthless. He just spent the week lying about hospitals being overwhelmed by Covid patients. The not-vaxed covid patients don’t you know. It just ain’t so. Data from all over the world refutes his statements. He just keeps doubling down.

Brad Little is wholly owned by the medical establishment. They pay him quite well.

All it will take is this and the Arizona audit results for those Governors with a spine to declare fedgov illegitimate. They can, if they have the cojones, order all businesses in the state to send all employee income tax to the state coffers. I believe it would take only a handful of States to bankrupt the US corporation for good.
