That 17 y/o kept his cool. I’m impressed. At 17 I wouldn’t have been able to do that. I hope he gets out of this without long term legal damage. Lord knows the state is going to do their damndest to screw him over.

I am now reconsidering the single point sling. I use a vickers and would not have had the freedom of movement that he had. I tried them 20 years ago and didn’t like getting hit in the junk when I ran but forgot to grab hold of the rifle first..
I am contemplating an AR pistol and think a single point would a relatively secure means of carry.
Another take away from this and the murder in Portland is to try not to allow yoirself to be cutoff from the group.
