Unfortunately, that’s right on the mark. The things unleashed at otherwise peaceable men are abominable, but just as outrageous is that the very people who should be punishing the evil-doers are protecting them.
Romans 13 doesn’t give the state the mission of fighting poverty, or fighting a war on drugs, or lording it over their people, or tyrannizing them, or confiscating guns, or performing COIN missions of community engagement.
It gives the police and courts one and only one mission: to punish evil-doers. Just as the singular mission given to the armed forces, i.e., to protect the borders of the country, has been abandoned in favor of foreign misadventures, the police and courts are doing everything but what God has commanded and ignore the one thing He commanded them to do.
God: “I gave one one job. Just one. You failed.”

There have been lower court decisions declaring the mask mandates unconstitutional. Not reported by the MSM. Today the Red Louisiana AJ declared the Blue gov’ners mandate unconstitutioal. Dog fight.
The gov’ner of GA has declared the city and country mandates instituted by the ordinance Nazis to be null and void. Not that I would wear one anyway. Haven’t worn one yet. A bandana is healthier and provides better air flow. I’ve got two as a gift from a friend. They are made from a wicking material that keeps you cool. I wear them while out in the yard working.
With the original Nazi mandate comes a list of exceptions to the mandate, which effectively nullifies the original mandate which begs the question why issue a mandate at all. …Well, because, that’s why…because, well, its our civic duty…that’s why. At a crucial time in history I think it significant that God has given Atlanta a Bottoms for a mayor. How apropos. A Monty Python skit waiting for a writer.
The 300 Spartans decided to take a stand at Thermopylae. This inspired 7,000 other Greeks to stay and die with them. Salamis and Plataea ensued and Western Civilization was saved from the Persian boot heel.

300 Spartans, 1000 helot batmen (slaves assigned to maintain the Spartan soldiers equipment, act as runners and perform other tasks), 700 Thespians and 400 Thebians. Although other allied units were prepared to stay Leonidas had them along with the remaining troops march south escorted by the Peloponnesian allied units. They were ordered to stay on the road until safely away from the Persian cavalry. Leonidas knew that if he did not stay the retreating contingents would be chopped to ribbons by the cavalry and would not be available to fight another day. One Spartan soldier absent on a diplomatic errand was so humiliated at missing the fight he committed suicide.

Farmers market. Co-ops. Start dealing with farmers direct. When growing up my mother would take me and my sister to a farm. We would fill the car with okra, corn, squash, tomatos, green beans, pinto beans. On the way back home I would take a roll of masking tape and pull all the okra spines out of my hands. Then the cooking and canning and prepping for the freezer. At the end of the day my shower was a bar of soap and a water hose. And no air conditioning. And every week the ice man would come and put a chunk of ice in the top of the “refrigerator.” The milk man would deliver it fresh to your door. A man came by and delivered eggs twice a month.
Form your own co-op with friends, relatives. Canned goods I can order and have delivered. Not as good as fresh but it will keep you alive. Need a chain saw. Drill bit. Lawn mower. Have it delivered. Its only going to be so long before these mandates and shutdowns destroy the economy. The supply grid cannot stand the chaos and riots are delaying deliveries. Get it while you can.
Just look at all the urban outdoorsmen eating out of dumpsters. I’ve seen books about dumpster dining and roadkill recipes.
The best solution would be a boycott, hit ’em in the pocket hard and they would back off, but it can’t be done in a nation of pagan sheep that are more than willing to be led around by the nose. Corporate doesn’t care. The government is giving them bailout money to stay open so they can destroy the mom and pop operations.
I was in a mandated store Tue and no one said a word to me. All the employees were friendly. In my last few visits the employees outnumbered the customers. I’ll keep going until there is a confrontation. If asked to leave I won’t look back and there will be some farmers and gardeners out there with a little more money in their pockets.
All the court decisions on this issue have been against mandates as unconstitutional. The best thing corporate and government has going for them is hysteria. People see me without a mask and they hate me more than they fear the rioters and terrorists. That is another reason the left will win.
If you live long enough its going to be a dog eat dog world anyway. Learn to bark.
