Question from my wife tonight: “What is your opinion? Who has the authority to open the economy back up – the president or the governors? There’s a hot debate over that with the talking heads and MSM.”
Me: The premise of the question is false. You’re asking who has the authority to undo something no one had the constitutional authority to do to begin with.

When I got saved I was still a watcher of Fox News. Then I realized; that every story was a lie, they all contained the same false premise: 1. It’s a problem so be afraid. 2. The government is the only solution to the problem. 3. Remain in fear because some in government don’t want to save you. It’s formulaic, it’s every day, all day and not just Fox News it’s all of them. So I turned the news off, it’s flat out lies (fear) and subtle lies of the devil in the false premise of Government as savoir and master.
Then, the cussing, and particularly cussing God began to deeply unsettle my soul. Anything that cussed God got cut from viewing. Then, general nasty behaviors and women acting and dressing as prostitutes and sluts become abhorrent to my soul. And on it went, notion upon notion, wickedness after offensive perversion got turned off. I ended up with 3 channels and about 5 shows that I could stomach when, again, I came to the realization that I was paying people to beam wickedness, wretched sinfulness, and every imaginable lust of the flesh directly into my brain. I was paying the devil to wreck my nation and steal my very soul if he could by watching that filth.
And as it went; several years ago I threw my perfectly serviceable flat screen TV into a dumpster because I could no longer bare to defy my God, the one who brought me out of all that same bondage and wickedness and deceit and out of the false siren song of every single image and idea being perverted upon my soul.
Are you not entertained? No, I’m not, I’m deeply offended and disgusted and not just personally; now it’s beginning to offend me that people who claim Christ still watch it, they are an offense to Holy God, a totem to the grip of the devil over their soul. Are they members of the Body of Christ deserving of being cut off?
The November release and global spread idea has been gaining traction. In order to understand the below you need to know that less than 10 percent of retail (included are churches in this group) is closed down in TN. My evidence is only anecdotal but’s first hand. I’ve had this on my mind from very early on in the “beer” crisis; that it already burned through TN back in December. Everybody was sick. I know 2 men both young and otherwise mostly healthy who were down hard. One had a raging fever for days and days and was sick 12 days or so and weak for another 3. His whole family got sick. Another man went on business to CA right about the time when stories of the virus in China started ramping up. He too was down hard for 2 weeks after he got back. I had typical symptoms which sometimes manifest as a mild nasal infection. Many I know had mild flu like symptoms. About this time I told a dear couple that I know, one of whom is immune compromised that they should stay home. This is in December when everybody was already getting sick here and news about it was just starting to trickle out. Again, anecdotal, but the percentages and of degrees of illness based upon the population (of people “I know”) are interesting.
Now data is coming back about TN. A little over 500 people have been hospitalized since IDing the virus started in earnest here. To claim that those are the real numbers is not true because testing didn’t start here until months into this and all those not otherwise healthy people, the ones with comorbidity factors susceptible to viruses as the final assault, may have had it. We’ll never know. Again, in December and into January. The current 500 plus total hospitalizations in TN is 2000% below gooberment estimates. I conclude, again not scientifically but, TN already has so called herd immunity already and that’s why very few here are getting sick anymore.
I’m of the opinion that this anecdotal evidence, and my timeline is from memory, leads to what some hard evidence points to; a November global spread not some 2 or so months later. When/If (Note to government: stay away from me and leave me alone) testing of the healthy population begins and it already has to some extend (pregnant women, others at risk), and it’s beginning to be revealed that many have had it with mild or no symptoms. How is the government going to cover up its being months late and ruining the economy for nothing? By television and print media, and the sheep will hear a false master, and believe.
And then there is the Word of God. If you are following the government of the United States it has made you WORSE THAN AN INFIDEL.
“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10
Defy your false masters; make, build, or create something today and sell it for profit!!! You are commanded of Holy God to provide for your family, no State has the authority to deny you this solemn duty to God. There is a Higher Law, and a Judge of all. The government of the United States has turned half of the country into wicked reprobates full of unholiness and sin. Why do people, seriously it boggles my mind, why do people even listen to what they say let alone do anything at all whatsoever that it would portend to have authority in.
YOU DON’T HAVE ANY RIGHTS AT ALL EXCEPT THAT YOU WOULD DO YOU DUTY TO GOD PERHAPS IN THAT HE WOULD BLESS YOU WITH ANY LIBERTY WHATSOEVER HE WOULD HAVE GRACE OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE TO BESTOW UPON YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR NATION.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
Go read what “all these things” are and know this, failure to seek the Kingdom of God first, may well mean that God withdraws those things and America may be headed for massive food shortages, malnourishedment and malnutrition and all the attendant fatal health complications from that because your government wants to keep you from getting sick so that you are healthy. Think about that.

You can assume the CONPLAN(s) reference(s), in some manner, the legal authority to conduct these operations. These CONPLANs are of course classified.
What’s surprising/frustrating to me is that the Mayors, Governors, and Command in Chief have not simply stated as best they can, in an unclassified form/venue, where they derive their authority to order lockdowns, mandates, etc.
I’m an adult, and I expect to be talked to as an adult, and not as a child. Just tell me the truth, I can handle it.
All of this would make for a wonderful legal discussion. Why waste an outstanding opportunity to better educate the American People on THEIR COUNTRY.

I’m with you Herschel. Nobody had the authority to do it in the first place. This is like the oft quoted Firearms Act of 1934. The whole act was unconstitutional. Nibbling around the edges does nothing. This has all been an exercise to see how far they can push the American sheeple. We have failed the test miserably. Next time this will be their jump off point and will curtail even more rights.

We all do. What are they going to do? Arrest everybody? Time for business owners to band together and just do it, en masse, at the same time.
