Michael Bloomberg: “I Have My Own Army In The NYPD”

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 2 months ago

News from traitor Michael Bloomberg.

“I have my own army in the NYPD, which is the seventh biggest army in the world. I have my own State Department, much to Foggy Bottom’s annoyance. We have the United Nations in New York, and so we have an entree into the diplomatic world that Washington does not have,” Mayor Bloomberg said.

I’m glad you see it that way Michael.  I do too.

Hey, here’s a little note for you.  Your army sucks.  And the founders disagreed with the notion of standing armies in America.

Gee, that doesn’t sound like “just a regular guy Mike” – you know, the one his campaign propaganda department is trying to reinvent from the always-aspiring monstrous tyrant he really is.

Perhaps Mr. Bloomberg ought to do some simple math. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as any number of industry retailers and wildlife, conservation, hunting non-profits, track purchases of deer-hunting and other licenses. In 2018, 15.6 million deer hunting licenses were sold nation-wide, with Texas leading the pack with one-million sold.

Bloomberg calls the New York City Police Dept. his “private army,” which is a pretty grandiose claim. But for the sake of argument, let’s take it at face value. That department has some 36,000 sworn officers, plus another 19,000 or so other personnel. Let’s round it off and call it an even 55,000 people.

Dividing 15,600,000 by 55,000 gets us 283.63, or a ratio of 283 deer hunters for every member of the NYC PD. If we restrict the New York total to sworn officers alone, the arithmetic works out to 433 deer-hunters per officer.

In New York State alone, 579,000 licenses were purchased, which works out to a ratio of sixteen-to-one between deer hunters and sworn NYC police officers.

The State of Pennsylvania alone had 976,000 licensed hunters in 2018, a number equivalent to or surpassing the size of almost all of the world’s armies, save the very largest. Far as a comparison to the NYC PD goes, there are twenty-seven hunters from that state for every sworn officer.

If one takes the total number of deer licenses sold as a surrogate figure for the number of hunters nationwide, then those 15.6 million licenses make America’s hunters the largest standing army in the world, more than seven times bigger than the largest standing army, that of the People’s Republic of China, which has some two-million men in uniform.

Here concludes the above brief but, it is hoped, illustrative arithmetic lesson for Mr. Bloomberg. Just in case he gets bored and decides one day to try and conquer neighboring Pennsylvania using his own private army. The diminutive billionaire ought to know that the people remain sovereign – and that there is nothing he can do about it.

Those hunters are no army. They can’t tie their shoes without disagreeing.

Re: “Those hunters are no army. They can’t tie their shoes without disagreeing.”

Well, no, not in the sense that they can duplicate what the professionals do – but they are armed men, proficient in the use of their personal firearms. Many of whom are experienced outdoorsmen with good field-craft. And as the Russians are fond of saying about such things, “Quantity has its own quality…”

I am not, I hope you know, suggesting in any way that America’s deer hunters go to war with Michael Bloomberg or the NYC police department. Just trying to supply some much needed perspective on the relative numbers involved.

Guys like Bloomberg tend to believe that because they are billionaires and titans of business, they can do whatever they please, whenever they please – heedless of what other people want. It is salutary to remind them otherwise from time to time.

Bloomberg isn’t the first would-be tyrant to under-estimate the mettle of the common American as a fighting man. A bit more than two centuries ago, King George’s best learned that lesson the hard way, I believe…

    @Georgiaboy,

I do doubt that any NYPD cop has ever experienced the outdoors. So the term outdoorsmen may be too hyperbolic for them.

Granted, I’ve camped, hiked, trained horses, ridden trails, and done bushcraft most of my life. I hope this doesn’t come across as too snooty towards the NYPD, but I do doubt they could keep up with me in the field.

  6. On February 11, 2020 at 8:57 am, Fred said:

Except that, nobody is doing anything. Thousands and thousands have had their guns taken in the initial pilot programs in FL, MA, MD, CA, OR, WA and others. Nobody is fighting back. The government is learning. That there is near zero news about this tells you all that you need to know. The absence of communications, the silence is deafening, at least to me.

Why won’t people hear this? They know in their mind but they won’t accept it, in their soul, deep in what the evolutionists call the lizard brain, there is no alert going off. I can’t understand why. What is wrong with you?

Nobody will fight. How do I know this, because nobody is fighting. You will cower in your house and hope to be the last on the list, just like the Russians, and Chicoms.

One little .308 pill puts an end to Bloomberg’s way of thinking.

Yours words, not mine. You must really want a visit from those guys in trench coats and dark glasses, the ones with federal LE credentials….

Or do you work for DHS,NSA, or one of the other alphabet-soup agencies already?

No one said anything about escalation; de-escalation is what sane, prudent people are after in these overheated times. The deep-state would love it if the liberty movement surrendered the moral high-ground and resorted to violence; that’s a game they understand and do well in.

“Except that, nobody is doing anything.” They are fighting back on the local level as best they can. Go to the KeepAndBearArms website and you will see plenty of examples. The opposition is up aganist the commie left and the rino left. Citizens are finding out they are on their own. They have benn abandoned and condemned by both parties. The only representation on the right is the individual and the people supporting him and people he can trust because both parties are proposing and enacting bills to neutralize what power the palefaces have left.

Nobody at Conservative Inc., has the guts to say this out loud, and I quote a very wise man: “A Summary of the American argument for gun control roughly paraphrased is ghetto blacks are killing each other with pistols, so we need to take rifles away from country whites, because any actually effective action would be racist.” The Rinos have voted three times to condemn palefaces. The FBI has declared a nonentity with no power, that has commited no crimes aganist the state, the greatest threat to national security.

In 1775 only 5% took it to King George and they won. But they knew their enemy. The enemy today could be anyone. It is a situation similar to Europe and Russia under Nazi domination. Secrecy is paramount. Today people are facing jail time and the loss of all their freedoms simply for expressing their opinion. Two men in NY are going to jail for four years, sentenced in another kangaroo court, for fighting back after being attacked by leftist thugs.

And just like the resistance in WWII everything is stacked aganist you. Instead of complaing Fred, you should be thankful for these examples and thousands of others getting beat up and going to jail fighting for you.

I find it funny that he thinks a bunch of pussies who think their “right to be safe at the end of the day” is the most important thing, can be an Army.

Instead of comparing the number of hunters to the number of officers in the NYPD how about comparing the number of Veterans of the recent excursions to the sandbox to the officers in the NYPD.
