Carrying Guns During Protests
BY Herschel SmithMy own home state of NC has a law against the carry of firearms in parades, protests, etc. It’s dumb and unconstitutional.
There have been a number of articles on this subject in the wake of the recent ICE shooting in Minnesota, like this one and this one.
Most of them are pretty dumb and miss the point. I don’t want to get into a long-winded discussion of it, but I’ll say this much. Whomever was carrying the firearm, assuming that he was an American citizen and thus a recipient of the hard work of securing the obligations of covenant protections (i.e., the constitution), had a right to be carrying a gun.
What that person did not have the right to do is impede the removal of invaders from America, or perpetrate further invasion of America. That’s called treason. The second amendment is in place for the amelioration of tyranny. It does not protect the imposition of another tyranny.

The deaths of those people are unfortunate, but to be brutally honest, they asked for it when they chose to interfere with federal LE agents doing their jobs.
Federal personnel are already on high alert status due to push-back from the public in places like MN – so the agents are already on edge. It is asking for trouble to intervene, especially when they can see you are armed, or are behaving in a threatening manner. A car driven rashly or in a threatening manner is every bit as much of a weapon as any firearm. In such high-stakes circumstances, it is easy to understand the take-no-chances attitude of the LE personnel.
I do not wish to seem flippant, but if you don’t want to win stupid prizes, don’t play stupid games…. it is that simple.
The mainstream media has called the mobs “protesters” but that’s not what they are. They’re insurrectionists defying legitimate actions taken by the federal government to enforce federal immigration law.
The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights are quite clear that the authority to safeguard and enforce our nation’s borders and laws pertaining to immigration, are vested in the Executive Branch, which means the President and Commander in Chief. And the President has ordered that they engage in their current mission, which means ICE and DHS are operating under legal authority.
No state has the right to create its own immigration laws, since those laws are illegitimate and are subordinate to federal statutes on the matter in any case. Minnesota has no right to decide immigration matters as long as it is part of the United States.
Every single individual in this country here without permission is already a felon, and anyone helping them is guilty of subornation of aiding and abetting a felony, which is also a crime under federal law. Governor Tim Waltz, Mayor Jacob Frey, and Minnesota AG Keith Ellison are all committing black-letter treason and are guilty of insurrection and sedition.
