Silver Eagle Group Shooting Range: Boot Licking Statists
BY Herschel SmithThe Silver Eagle shooting range called the ATF on a man using an FRT resulting in his arrest with the ATF claiming it is a machine gun. They should be IMMEDIATELY boycotted and informed of the shooting communities displeasure. Contact info is below https://t.co/NrfPlx690A pic.twitter.com/bGYoWgEGo5

Here is their web site. If this is incorrect or didn’t happen, or if this is the wrong shooting range, the linked company can feel free to correct me in the comments.
So to begin with, the employees of the shooting range are apparently uneducated and untrained chimpanzees who can’t tell the difference. I would have asked to borrow the gun and found out within ten seconds what it was. Besides, they had no way of knowing whether the individual possessing the firearm had legal ownership of a machine gun or was an FFL SOT.
In response to this display of liberty, the untrained chimps called in other untrained chimps (the ATF) to make problems worse.
They should be ashamed. As for Silver Eagle Shooting Group, I hope your company sees an ignominious end and you go out of business.

Some folks that know their firearm intimately can put down an impressive rate of fire with no modifications or attachments or shoelaces whatever. Their interface between their body and their gun is such that they can ride the reset and counter recoil like a synchronising gear on a through-prop shooting gun on a propellor airplane. The hoplophobes going to outlaw that too?
Hope a hungry 2A lawyer latches onto this and plucks that eagle for all its silver. What is it with the haters of God and man that they love using eagles as images?
Matthew 24:28
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

I have friends who have NFA items. They said they’ve never been asked to prove their papers. It’s quite frankly, no one else’s business.
Of course the discussion came up back when solvent trap kits were popular.

Ah! Gun Clubs and Gun Club Members and their Range Safety Officers (RSO). In my humble experience of having been a member of Gun Clubs here and abroad, most members fancy themselves as experts in all things firearms related. When in fact they may be well experienced bird hunters or accomplished clay shooters or successful deer hunters, precision rifle shooters, and on and on. They may know much about their individual passion, but next to nothing about other fields of firearms usage. However, their lack of wider knowledge never kept them from veering off in those unknown areas with their expert advice. I give you some examples…”No shooting pistols faster than one shot per second, its UNSAFE!”, “No drawing from the holster, it’s UNSAFE”, “Can’t run a hot line”, “No mor than two shells in your shotgun.”…and don’t get me started on their RSO…who I have found to be mean men having a bit of authority for the first time in their miserable lives…look out you who may violate their rules. They will take great pleasure in threatening to thrown you off the line instead of teaching or helping you understand and comply with the needed safety rule. And yes, I am a certified Firearms Instructor, Retired LEO, run my own classes, been through a couple of RSO courses, yada, yada, yada. We gun people can be our own worst enemy. Rant over.

So the gun range employees called the ATF to report an illegal machine gun. The gun range employees don’t know what a FRT is, and much worse, the ATF does not know what a FRT is.
Apparently the ATF is also not familiar with the significant related court decisions or DOJ formal compliance agreements. Need we wonder why there are countless videos out there of police and feds violating all sorts of basic civil rights laws and using unjustified and excessive physical force. Sometimes to include murdering innocent people.
We live in the new era when “experts” are just Karens who are handed a script with no knowledge required. Just like the “Safe and Effective” so called vaccines.
As a general rule I do not like formal shooting ranges. As David P. Ellis points out above, there are just too many retards and Karens to put up with most of the time.

The Fudds are the biggest enforcers of gun control out there.
Couple of years ago a gun shop in Upstate NY called the cops because some customers were buying “too much ammo” — despite it being perfectly legal to buy as much as they wanted. The customers were guys with their own property who just liked to shoot a lot and do a lot of mag dumps, but ultimately it was discovered that they had “illegal assault weapons.”
The retards were posting pictures of themselves online with their “illegal” guns, so it was an easy bust for the cops, but the point is that they never would have even been on the cops’ radar if the Fudd gun shop hadn’t called.

Yeah, nothing makes a situation better or safer than getting cops, or better yet, ATF involved.
I have a yearly membership to a local range and it’s getting that way now. I’d like to think insurance is driving the changes, but who actually knows. All rifle shooting must be benchrest style using either a bipod or solid forward support. So much for learning to use a sling and improving technique. Your arm is apparently not sufficient for adequate forward support.
Pistol bays used to allow you to shoot at various distances (heavy walled sides to prevent neighbor to neighbor interference). You could work from 10 feet to 50 feet depending on skill and need. I like to do point shoot practices with my snubbie at close range. But now that’s no longer allowed as all shooting must take place from the 50 ft line. Yeah, try training a newby to shoot pistols from 50 ft back.
So yeah, I think they are all getting to be that way. Lucky I have some private property, even though that’s 3 hours away.

I belonged to a range in the Canton area of Ohio for almost 20 years. It started to get clickish with the various groups to the point you couldnt use the range half the time. If you weren’t one of the cool kids you were out of luck. Then the “I dont like the type of gun you’re using” people started taking over. Surplus rifle? Nope, thats unsafe. Double taps with a Glock? Nope, not allowed to shoot that fast. The list went on forever. Found a place last year. Nice people. Family owned. Christians to boot.

I was an RSO at our local range for years.
We watched local PD shooting holes in the wrong part of perp/hostage targets. One RSO finally talked to them and asked that if he was ever a hostage that he let them sort it out.
Never even blinked over fast firing guns or Class III weapons as long as they were pointed down range when the bang switch was pressed.
I still can’t imagine anyone around here calling ATF over any implied infraction. Wankers.
