She needed a gun free zone sign.
If she would have shouted out guns are bad mmmkay, the would have went away.
Local news reported a shootout with one KIA and two throwaways recovered from the scene and the 24-7 restaurant got some free bad press.
We are just west of Capital City and the blob is expanding with locals now putting up a fight to stop some mini-city abomination on the last remaining farm lot with silos and outbuildings.

One of my employees had that happen to him at a red light on his way to work one morning. The guy came up to the window and pressed a knife up to it. My guy showed him the business end of his Browning High Power.
The guy ran off and that was all there was to it, right? Wrong! The dude called the cops on my guy for threatening him with a gun! My guy was also a Lt with the VFD and had a radio. He called the attempted robbery/carjacking in to the county dispatch and had a sheriff’s deputy sent out right away.
Idiot thug went to jail. I think he figured he was going to get my guy in trouble, which is why he stuck around – maybe get him arrested, then steal his Jeep if it got left on the side of the road. I really have no idea what the thug was thinking, but he wound up in the back of the sheriff’s car before it was all done.

Nowhere is situational awareness more paramount than when you are sitting in a stationary vehicle stopped at an inner-city intersection. Habitually, the driver ought to plan and leave space for getting out of there if the need arises. That means doing your best not to get pinned between two or three other vehicles or other obstacles which restrict your movements. It also means not being in condition white and unaware of your surroundings. Your head is on a swivel at all times.
If you have family or friends from rural America who do not know these skills, don’t let ’em loose in your city without imparting them. Do the right thing.
Remember – if you look like food, you’ll be eaten.
All of this sounds melodramatic and difficult, but after you have lived in an urban area for a while, it becomes second nature.
