Cops Opened Fire On Suicidal Man ‘Like Cowboys From A John Wayne Movie,’ New Lawsuit Claims
BY PGFCOLUMBIA, S.C. – A lawsuit has been filed against the York County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina by a man alleging that the deputies fired at him nearly 50 times during a mental health crisis while he was seated in a parked truck with a shotgun in his lap, despite his claim that he had his hands up.
In May of 2021, Trevor Mullinax survived being hit nine times, including three head wounds, as stated in the lawsuit filed earlier this month.
Police dashcam footage released by Mullinax’s attorneys revealed that the four sheriff’s deputies began firing only a few seconds after arriving on the scene and shouting “Hands!” multiple times.

When the only tool in your toolbox is a gun every situation only has one solution.
And they all went home safe that night , but their guns were empty
No sign of a threat to the cops..Once these assholes arrive bad things happen. They probably mistook him for a dog!
Wait, they weren’t shooting at the person (woman?) in red? Then why in the blankety blank blank (out of respect for our host, I won’t type what my real reaction was) did they fire with her downrange? Is a yellow streak down the back part of the physical requirements to be a cop now days? Bunch of overpaid, gutless snowflakes.
Dan, they also have tasers and dogs for when torture is what they think the situation needs.
This is why cops need “assault weapons” and high capacity magazines. The politicians constantly tell us that assault weapons and high capacity magazines have “no purpose” except to “slaughter people” so WE “don’t need them.”
The cops, however, DO need them… because obviously their job is to slaughter people.
Cue NWA…
Most cowboys weren’t that bloodthirsty.
I don’t remember any John Wayne movie with that much out of control firing. Now in The Long Riders, Young Guns, and The Wild Bunch, the “lawmen” did fire multiple rounds endangering any and everyone down range with no regard for their target or any innocents in the line of fire. A scene in the Eastwood cop movie The Gauntlet comes to mind as well when the corrupt cops shoot a house to sawdust. Wasn’t the cowboys, was always the “law” behind the out of control bullets flying.
Training has been shortened to “HANDS”!, open fire, pat each other on the back and get a few days off.
Typical cops. They protected and served the crap out of that poor guy.
Remember, they are PROUD of themselves.
They went back to the station and stoked each other’s dicks and told themselves what swell guys they were, and how they really clobbered that “perp”.
This IS the vaunted “Vast Majority” you have often heard of, who are Constitutionalists, Conservatives, men of sterling character, highest integrity… etc., the kind of guys who would NEVER do such a thing.
You have to kill him to save him.
Hell, why didn’t he just submit and comply?
Submit! SUBMIT! It’s what Free Men do!
Never in more danger than when around a cop.
