Thanks, NYPprepper, if I’m ever attacked by a lumberyard I now know what ammunition to use.
How much of an analogue is pine boards to bear anatomy?

These are well known dangerous game loads. I don’t think the point was to test the rounds against bears. I think the point was to compare one with another.

I watched it, mainly because I’m a .44 Mag aficionado, but dang that was a dry presentation.
Kind of got annoyed at his constant harping that certain bullets are prone to tumbling because they were deflected in wood, though, as if that makes them inferior. I’d like to see that same test done in wet phone books/newsprint or ballistics gel or even the old box of water jugs some guys used to do.
I usually load up some 300 gr. Hornady XTPs in my .44’s if I’m headed into bear territory. Or, I’ll even carry a .357 mag with 158 gr. bullets and not feel undergunned.

If you're interested in what else the The Captain's Journal has to say, you might try thumbing through the archives and visiting the main index, or; perhaps you would like to learn more about TCJ.
