I’m a huge proponent of shooting matches, specifically, IDPA. But, unlike most people who shoot IDPA, I shoot my conceal carry weapon, because I’m shooting to maintain proficiency, along with practicing drawing from concealment, and not for score. (by score, I mean, time and accuracy. I don’t worry about time, I do worry about accuracy.)

A rare moment, not that anybody cares what I think, but I agree with the details of all his points. If you don’t want to go to a karaoke bar, read your Bible out loud or recite verses on a public street corner. Or better yet, go tell strangers the Gospel. Interaction with potentialy hostile people is great training, and hey, somebody might even get saved.

If you're interested in what else the The Captain's Journal has to say, you might try thumbing through the archives and visiting the main index, or; perhaps you would like to learn more about TCJ.
