The Arizona Republic says Trump did.
Donald Trump is the most unconventional president we ever elected, so it comes as no surprise he’s doing something wildly unconventional as he leaves office.
He’s starting a civil war. In his own party.
This won’t topple our republic, because Trump doesn’t command enough Republican support in state and federal governments to create a real crisis. Democracy is holding fast against his legal and extra-legal attempts to reverse the election.
The latest test of America’s tensile strength comes from Georgia, where Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger exposed Trump’s tawdry threat against him because Raffensperger refused to help the president overturn Biden’s victory in that state.
Because the president has no shame, he has chosen to try to tear down the citadel on the way out. He has recruited Republican members of Congress and the U.S. Senate to formally object to the Electoral College count. Some 100-150 House members and at least 12 senators have announced they will support the president’s gambit.
That still leaves about one-fourth of the GOP caucus in the House and three-fourths in the Senate who are expected to join Democrats and crush this insurrection. Trump’s gambit is “the political equivalent of barking at the moon,” said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
But the damage to the Republican Party will be substantial. Trump’s post-election plotting imperils the election of two Republicans running for U.S. Senate in the Georgia runoff. If they both go down, Democrats will control the U.S. Senate, House and White House. Goodbye, divided government.
Many Republicans have warned this could happen. If it does, Trump will be to blame and the more mannered Republicans will have a powerful argument for weakening his grip on the party.

The party will and should pay a price for nominating and electing Trump to the White House. His four years of erratic governance cost him reelection, and his destructive final days will likely cost Republicans many elections to come.
Meanwhile the disparate parts of the party will battle over its future when Trump is gone. What does conservatism mean in our modern world? What are its core principles?
Trump, to quote Robert Oppenheimer’s timeless recitation from the Bhagavad-Gita, is “The destroyer of worlds.” He has laid waste to the American political landscape. The Reagan Revolution is over. The conservative party will never be the same.
True to form, this progressive is about 100 years behind. They still think Trump was the cause rather than the effect.
This civil war is a product of completely disparate world and life views, irreconcilable differences, and polar opposite value systems. The long march of Marxism through the institutions did its damage, but only after several generations.
The rejection of God, the killing of 70 million unborn babies, the theft of the national treasury, debt, deficit spending, foreign misadventures, corruption in all of the highest offices of the land, largesse to elected officials, a porous Southern border, the destruction of the middle class with taxes to support socialized medicine, subsidies and other wealth redistribution schemes, bills always bundled with spending on foreign countries and pet projects, corrupt judges and justices, militarized police, the creation of fatherless inner city families due to welfare and incentives for inner city women to have out-of-wedlock children, and on and on the horrible list could go.
These are the things traditional Americans see when they vote, and voting in the 2020 election has proven to be an ineffective amelioration of the problems. Given Trump’s inability to see the deep state actors with whom he surrounded himself, it isn’t obvious that the election would have made much difference anyway. From the beginning, most voters thought that Trump would supply four more badly needed years, and may in fact do a little damage to the deep state and bureaucratic controllers. The four years obtained, while the damage to the bureaucracy did not.
You see, Mr. Phil Boas, Trump wasn’t the beginning of anything. He was the last shot at avoiding the break, the schism, the trouble to come. He was supposed to be a solution, if God would be so gracious to grant it. God has not decided to do things that way.
So be it. The republican party that you and its leadership in the halls of power want to return to normal won’t – ever again. There will be no heeling, no getting back in line, no return to the days of simple acquiescence to the GOP moving to the left as the democrats move to the left, hoping that voting for the GOP is the least worse option.
Things are too far along for that. The world as you know it has changed, and you are one hundred years behind the times. Do try to catch up. Trump didn’t cause this. Your ilk did. And you and your ilk will be the legatee of what’s happened. There can be no peace between us.

Evil cannot cast out evil and the right is no better than the left. America is over. Perhaps in 400 years of judgement God would bring some semblance of a righteous nation to this continent. GMO food must go.
There are others but these are the biggies. Each one is a direct violation of at one of the 10 commandments. Look, I don’t know much, I just read my King James Holy Bible, but these things I know. God is sovereign and does as He will, but we can begin to know the nature and modality of His workings among men to bring them to the fullness of the realization of Him and to trust in Him alone, His Law, His Word, His Son, His Spirit.
America, including the right, has tried to make many things a god and set themselves upon a throne. All has failed.
What are the specific, measurable attainments of the war that would conclude it as a success? If ending the national sins isn’t the primary focus, another just as wicked and despicable monster will rise in the place of what we have now.
If you want to fight over this dump, to be the dump master, go ahead; it’s still a dump.

The only recourse left to Trump now is the insurrection order, which I do not think he will do, but if he does it it will just accelerate the civil conflict – which may well start today in DC. The patriots there better have swivels on their heads. And I see it spreading widely, so we should keep our powder dry.
America is finished as a republic and as a nation of laws; we have gone the way of ancient Israel in abandoning God and giving ourselves over to wickedness; this never goes unpunished, so God will remove any last measure of grace, patience and protection and will start bringing His judgements on a sinful nation (this election may be one of them in fact).
The only bright spot in this dark canvas – for His children, not for America -is that I believe strongly that all this will mean the soon return of Jesus for his church; that’s why I have been pleading with my unsaved family and friends to seek God, repent, and believe in Christ’s sacrifice. They won’t stay republicans; they’ll just reflag. It happens all the time in the world. Hell, in Germany, once the Nazis took power, a number of their former opponents willingly joined their ranks, and became rather fanatical, too. Then when the war ended, a number of former Nazis jumped ship to the new East German communist party. Stuff like that isn’t exactly rare.

Our Father’s Kingdom is driven by two Primary Laws:
1) Everything reproduces after its own kind. This Law is shown in action during Creation.
2) Seed is planted, time passes, a harvest is sent. This Law was initiated after the Great Flood.
These two Laws drive all of the spiritual and physical universe. They drive the Law of Sin and Death, the Law of Life in Christ Jesus, and the Golden Rule. It explains why the Tree of Life had to be removed from the Garden of Eden. It explains why we can’t receive forgiveness from Him without extending it to others. The Master validates the veracity of the claim in His Parable of the Mustard Seed.
And these two Primary Laws are driving our situation now.
Individuals, families, communities, and nations are all capable of planting seed. The United States has many people of the Book in it, and these individuals and families sow seed in accordance with Kingdom principles. As such, as individuals they receive an in kind harvest from Him and His Kingdom.
‘I set before you today life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life.’
The US as a nation, however, does not sow seed in accordance with Kingdom principles. Many seeds have been sown for Satan’s kingdom by our government. Not the least of which is the theft of the office of President.
Our Father MUST maintain the Primary Laws. He is Lord of the Harvest.
That means as a nation, He MUST give a harvest of death and curse for the seeds this nation has sown while living in opposition to His Kingdom. He must.
Those that cling to the apostate nation will receive its harvest, like those in Egypt during the first Exodus.
The Constitutional Republic of the USA is now officially dead. We can cling to its carcass and receive the same judgment.
Or we can repent, turn our backs, and come out from among it. And walk towards Him, in His Way.
The Lord gave Abraham and his descendants the Promised Land. Then He moved them out of it for 400 years. Why? The land was occupied, and as descendants of Adam they had a rightful claim to the land. For the Lord to dispossess the inhabitants would’ve been a form of theft. The people who lived there had to become subject to the Primary Laws.
Their wickedness sowed the seeds of their own destruction and an in kind harvest was sent, the land cleared. They got the death they deserved, and Israel got the Promised Land legitimately.
Yahweh and Jesus are now setting the entire world for the same thing. The wickedness of the world must be allowed, so that seeds of death and destruction are sown. Then when Jesus comes at the end of the Tribulation to clear the world and send those to hell that deserve it, the Primary laws are upheld. And the establishment of the Kingdom in accordance with the Primary Laws is accomplished.
The wine glass of His wrath is filled up by the seeds of death and destruction being sown, and just as the Lord Himself cleared the Promise Land for Israel, He will clear the entire planet for the Millennial Reign of the Christ.
This is evil’s hour of power. They have been granted that power by Yahweh Himself, so that they can sow seeds into Satan’s kingdom, so that He can bring the harvest of a new world era. There is still only one blessed hope – Jesus.
As Ambassadors of Christ we are in the world not of it, and therefore not subject to the harvest it deserves. Just as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshac, and Abendago, if we remain in covenant – and obedience to it – we harvest from Him and His Kingdom, even while the world is falling apart around us.
Lift up your heads. Redemption is near!
Let Him finish that good and perfect work in you to prepare you for your eternal assignment.
