Mcloud, Oklahoma, AR Pistol Walk

BY Herschel Smith

Our friend Timothy Harper with News Now OKC recently did a 2A audit in Mcloud, Oklahoma.

So there are a few things that need to be reinforced with the Mcloud PD.  First of all, there was no legal necessity for Mr. Harper to show his ID.  This wasn’t a “Terry Stop.”  You could not articulate suspicion of a crime.

Second, you had no right to order him off the street, and I’m glad he stood his ground.  Third, you couldn’t articulate any difference between flying a kite and Mr. Harper doing what he was doing, which is entirely legal, and yet you ordered him off the street.  So you looked stupid.

Finally, tell fat boy he needs to lose some weight if he wants to chase down the real bad guys.

I’m glad Mr. Harper is doing this.  It apparently is needful and I hope he keeps going.

Yep. Ignorance combined with rampant arrogance.

Hey cops: If a man is minding his own business and has committed no crime, and you have NO REASON to think he is about to commit a crime, your OBLIGATION is to leave him alone.

It is well past time to stop being so polite and “compliant” with Thugs.

Wearing a Super Hero Costume and bearing a Magic Shield, does NOT make you Right.

Anyone doing this would be well advised to STREAM all video of such interactions real time in order to prevent the cops from “accidentally”
erasing the evidence. And anyone doing things like this had better have
good life insurance…..as they run the VERY REAL RISK of being murdered
by a trigger happy cop….who just wants to “go home at the end of your shift”.

Seems to me that someone having the “authority to take your life and liberty “ had better know exactly what the laws are that they are supposedly upholding. They obviously don’t know or don’t care.

More people that got their lunch money taken as kids and couldn’t wait to grow up, become a cop, and dish out some payback. These guys are pathetic.

Let me translate the first po po’s attempted resolution; ‘Get off my corporation’s sidewalk!’

And I agree with Mr. Harper, every AR owner in the town needs come out on the street with ONE OF their rifles, if only to show the po po that they are way outgunned, outmatched, and that politeness is everybody’s best option, an armed society being a polite society.

Walked into a local chain gas station open carrying and do you know what they did? They thanked me for the business. And now, I don’t get my gas anywhere else. see how that works? Politeness.

Where does that often abused phrase “Ignorance of the law is no excuse”? come in? Most of the time I’ve heard it misapplied by a judge to some poor sap accused of allegedly violating some idiotic hair-brained jot or tittle. Never heard it breathed to anyone in “law enforcement”.

Typical ignorant asses trying to escalate a peaceful situation because their EGO’s won’t allow them to admit they are wrong and just walk away. If there were no camera around, we all know that oversized dumpster of a cop would have violated his rights.
All 4 of them with hands on their pistols like little bitches clutching their pearls. I can see all 4 of these clowns being involved in an unlawful shooting several times in their careers. Especially seeing that they do not recognize the Supreme Court. (“This is Oklahoma”) They walk around and act like blue thugs, not law enforcement and they are definitely NOT peace officers. Unprofessional and stupid to boot.

What do you think that means?

Are you thinking that represents ONLY Herschel’s audience demographic?

And this gun toting action benefits whom ? These videos do nothing, but give anti-gunners ammunition proving we’re unstable .

This crowing about the 2nd amendment means nothing to soccer mommy. They’ll keep voting for the likes of hillery until yours rights have been taken from you – fact !

FYI- most LE is pro-firearm. This nonsense does not help.

    @sir,

That’s an awesome comment because you prove too much trying to prove just a little.

Your argument is that if we just hide rights they won’t be taken from us, those rights that we happen to be refusing to practice and exercise, which in fact have already been taken from us (by ourselves) if we don’t exercise them.

    Good job.

  14. On July 25, 2019 at 11:41 am, June J said:

@sir…most LE “might” be pro-firearm, but not necessarily pro-2A. If “most” LE are pro-2A then they should speak up and not be an order following drone of the state.
Yes, I know some LE who are very pro-2A. I also know some who believe only the government and military should possess firearms.

As to what “should have happened” when a concerned citizen called to report the man walking with his gun, the police should have responded that unless he was doing something illegal there is nothing they can/should do.

Police don’t like their monopoly on the show of force being challenged by mere civillians. The King’s men object you see, for they might get shot before the end of their shift.

Remember, the courts have held that police don’t have to know the law to enforce it, and they’re free to make up imaginary laws and arrest you if they want.

Of course, for *you*, “ignorance of the law is no excuse.”

The judiciary has, essentially, become a weapon against the people.

When the rule of law breaks down, Mao’s observation that “power comes out of the barrel of a gun” starts looking appropriate.

What a perfect example of why Ok cops are perpetrating the us vs them mentality. He also has the authority to face his accuser. But you will never see the cops comply with that.

I’ve fought the good fight over Gun Rights since 1968. Invested a small fortune to travel all over the country, spent time away from my family, talked to legislatures until my face turned blue. Antagonizing cops is not the way to win they’re allegiance. The individual with the AR is making gun owners look bad. Shaking a red flag in front of police officers and expecting no reaction is goofy. He sounds like a “Sovereign Citizen” type. There are better ways. Apparently the AR guy doesn’t know them.
