MIDDLETON, Wis. (AP) — A heavily armed man opened fire on his co-workers at a Wisconsin software company Wednesday, seriously wounding three people before being fatally shot by police as employees ran from the building or hid inside, according to investigators.
Middleton Police Chief Chuck Foulke said officers shot the man within eight minutes of receiving calls about an active shooter at WTS Paradigm. Foulke said the man was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and extra ammunition, and fired at officers before he was shot.
Foulke said three people were seriously injured during the attack, while a fourth person was grazed by a bullet.
“I think a lot less people were injured or killed because police officers went in and neutralized the shooter,” Foulke said.
The police chief said the motivation behind the attack was unclear and investigators didn’t yet know whether the gunman targeted his victims. He didn’t release the suspect’s name but said he was an employee of WTS Paradigm and lived in nearby Madison.
Foulke said the investigation was ongoing but noted: “We have reason to believe the suspect was heavily armed with a lot of extra ammunition, a lot of extra magazines.”
Judy Lahmers, a business analyst at WTS Paradigm, said she was working at her desk when she heard what sounded “like somebody was dropping boards on the ground, really loud.” Lahmers said she ran out of the building and hid behind a car.
She said the building’s glass entrance door was shattered.
“I’m not looking back, I’m running as fast as I can. You just wonder, ‘Do you hide or do you run?'” she told The Associated Press.
Yes, a lot less people were killed or injured because the cops got there. Not because poor victims are asking the question, “Do you hide or do you run?” Rather than saying, “Remember, unholster, proper grip technique, ensure round is chambered, find perp, present, get good sight picture, discharge.”
Well, she did what all of America has been trained to do.

Noted conservative talk-show host and commentator Dennis Prager has said of the relationship between the government and the people of this country, “The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.” He then goes on to say that the converse is also true.
A nation of self-reliant, independent people do not serve the long-term interests of the federal leviathan, or for that matter, their regional, state, and local counterparts. Independent and self-reliant people have little need for the kind of feminized society in which we now live, or the over-arching nanny state, in which the highest virtue is safety – and not ordered liberty and the other virtues of the Founders.
The statists, on the other hand, prefer people who are helpless, ignorant, and dependent upon them. All the better to justify further encroachments upon our few remaining freedoms and more expansion of rules, regulations, laws and government bureaucracy and intrusion. All paid for by higher taxes, of course.

The Battle of Athens, sometimes called the McMinn County War, was a local uprising which took place in Athens and Etowah, TN, against a corrupt local government. Local citizens, led by a number of WWII combat veterans, protested and ultimately took up arms to defeat a corrupt local government and sheriff, who had committed a variety of crimes, including police brutality, political corruption, and intimidation of voters, as well as electoral fraud.
Those interested can learn the details for themselves, as they are now a part of the public record and in the history books. The take-away here is that armed citizens rose up against a corrupt and criminal local government and restored the rule of law and fair and impartial elections, and also sent a number of dirty local officials to prison.
Athens, TN, is what has the potential to happen when men like WWII generation roll up their sleeves and decide to take out the trash. From the standpoint of ordinary Americans, perhaps this is a tale with a happy ending, in which the bad guys got what was coming to them. However, from the standpoint of someone in government, the perception may be different.
Specifically, a dangerous precedent was set in Athens, TN in 1946 – namely, citizens taking arms and taking matters into their own hands – a precedent government statists do not want to see repeated.
The way to prevent more incidents like this from happening is to feminize the population. Ridicule traditional masculinity, elevate the(feminine) “virtues” of non-violence and conflict avoidance at all costs, while downplaying the male virtues – self-reliance, the seeking of justice, and the protection of family, home, hearth, and community.
One of the core tenets of Cultural Marxism is to attack the foundations of traditional western civilization, including traditional masculinity and its characteristics. Since Cultural Marxism is the dominant political ideology in the West today, including much of the United States, it should not be surprising that traditional masculinity is under attack and that the feminist nanny-state is ascendant.

Read the book, the whole book. People don’t read 1 Chronicles. They say it’s just a long list of names and that it’s boring. But within its texts are hidden gems of the ancient knowledge of men and God says in many places and multiple ways, that diligence causes a man to prosper.

Even though Abishai was not as good a fighter, he was honorable before the LORD and among men, a natural leader. Well, I’m thinking going ‘heavily armed’ is the way to go. It’s the honorable thing to do for those less able around you. I’m not really interested in the chief of po po’s opinion on this matter of who is an honorable fighter.
And more reasons to ignore your government on these matters are found in the ancient texts of 1 Chronicles.
“They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.”
A few versus later we find that these men of war were “fit for battle” and “could handle shield and buckler” and “were as swift as the roes upon the mountains”. (Swift as roes upon mountains? The battle of kings mountain comes to mind.)
It is possible to teach your brain to write new neural pathways. We do it every day, or let bookface do it for us, you decide which is more profitable for a man. These men, David’s men of war trained themselves to be ambidextrous with a variety of the weapons of war. The usefulness of this is obvious to Mr. Smith’s readership. But, Saul was a tyrant, a usurper of power and an unjust leader. Even the tribe of Benjamin, his own people, ignored him and instead, did that which is right in the eyes of the LORD. They even fought against him, a tyrant.
I’m wondering (not really) why we never hear things like this preached on in the American Church? I know why we don’t hear it from government. They follow a different master. The question is, who is our church following? Who will you follow?

To paraphrase Patrick Buchanan, Christianity is no longer what he terms “a fighting faith”… while this may not be true of individual Christians, it certainly seems true of the Christian church establishment – individual clergymen on up to the World Council of Churches.
The answer to your question is Cultural Marxism. That is why we do not – have not – heard the message of which you speak.
Cultural Marxism is rampant within the religious establishment of the West, right up to Pope Francis himself, who is an unapologetic Marxist as well as a globalist.
The rot is deep. The World Council of Churches and Catholic Charities, to name two examples, are so-called Christian charitable organizations which are deep into the “refugee settlement” business, i.e., the importation of Muslims into the United States and “resettling” them in places like Dearborn, MI and Minneapolis, MN. Again, these are the poisoned fruits of Cultural Marxism.
In their century-long march through the institutions of the West, the Cultural Marxists have systematically attacked those institutions which formed the foundation of our civilization – including our churches. Those churches and clergy whom they couldn’t marginalize or put out of business, they infiltrated and subverted instead.
The Pope is emblematic of the spiritual illness which infects much of the West. He calls for peace and harmony between Islam and Christianity, between Muslims and Christians, and then holds interfaith dialogs inside the walls of the Vatican, where – unknown to the Pope, who does not speak Arabic – the imam (Muslim cleric) present that day read a short passage proclaiming the superiority of Islam and what a great victory for the soldiers of Allah it was to proclaim the message inside those walls.
Does Pope Francis now know that he is a dhimmi? Does he even know the meaning of the word?

A radio show producer asked me not long ago to listen to his station’s 3 hour morning show. I smiled and thanked him but walked away knowing I would not. That got me to thinking about why I won’t listen to the problem at length, why the litany of ‘reasons’ is not even important to me anymore.
I know what needs to be done to solve the problem which means that the reason for knowing the details of the problem has changed. See, there is no more reason to read about, or listen to what our enemy has done and is doing other to find ways to hurt him. We’re past all the shock, and outrage, fear, tears, anger. It’s over. They’ll overstep and we’ll set about to kill them, or not. That’s what’s left.
As to the cause? As far as God is concerned and therefor me, right and wrong are real and measurable. evil is real. The opposite of evil is not good, it’s love. It’s good to give a hungry man a sam’ich but it’s love to teach him how to get his own lunch. My concern is who they and we follow. Which master is love, Holy, righteous, and just (careful what you ask for and how you ask, you might end up getting what justice you deserve). That wasn’t the devil who put an innate sense of right and wrong in your soul at conception.
This is where many a good man stumbles; I didn’t say a sense of right from wrong. The Bible says about the condition of mankind, ‘knowing good and evil’ not good from evil. Not knowing this and doing good is how one ends up no better than his enemy.

Situational Awareness is still the most Important Consideration, particularly in Large Buildings. I would treat the described Situation as a Fire – where is It, in relationship to the nearest Exit. If Confronted by a Shooter, what is the Nearest Object that can serve as either a Shield or a Weapon.
Now, put those two Together – virtually All larger Buildings are equipped with Multiple, good-Sized Fire Extinguishers, loaded to High Pressure with Chemicals that are not exactly Eye-Safe if Aimed at a Person. The Blast and Blinding Effect, even 10 or 20 Feet away is VERY disorienting, and when Empty, the Heavy Cylinder is an Excellent Bludgeon-Type Weapon.
