As a former Marine I find it appalling that a bank that calls itself Bank of America would say something they know is a complete fabrication. They say that all of the branches nation wide fly the American flag. The 3 branches in my town and the branches in the surrounding towns do not even have flag poles on the property. Also, Bank of America claims that an employee was instructed to remove the flags placed on the property in Gaffney, SC. The fact is that the branch manager went out and personally removed the flags and when the person putting the flags out returned and tried to put more near the road in front of the bank because she thought she had missed it the manager came out and told her that she could not put the flags out there. After viewing a picture of where the flags were placed (beside the road which is part of the right of way) the bank had no right to remove the flags as it was not their property as they claim it was.
If this bank were truly a Bank of “America” it would pay to have flag poles put on ALL of their properties and the hell with political correctness. I tired of people trying to pacify others and not hurt their feelings. It is time that we stood up for the beliefs this country was built on and the hell with other opinions.

On a more patriotic note I and all the former Marines at my work attended a young Marines Funeral last year who had been killed in Afghanistan. My employer flew the flag at half mast, Three local police agencies and the State Troopers formed an honor guard in dress uniforms and closed the interstate in both directions for the funeral procession and no one complained.
The Mayors showed up and did not glad hand. One mayor showed up in his dress uniform as he is an Army reserve Col. who has led his unit to Iraq already. The funeral as sad as it was gave me some faith in people again.
