Also it is worth noting that both candidates for US President have made specific statements in this regard: Obama has said he would consider taking unilateral action in the frontier region of Pakistan, based on good intelligence, if Pakistain failed to act. McCain has said he would fight to win, leaving little room to back away from good intelligence.

President Bush should make the move now.
